Description This is another old tape recording by Midnight Special which was recorded live on 4th.December 2003. I have many of these recordings but unfortunately they have people talking on them and all sorts, so they're not really clean enough to use, - not that this is perfect by a long way.

The clarinet player is John Scantlebury who is the main feature. I am just dressing it on the piano and the drummer and bass are Mike Pincombe and Alan Browning respectively. Like the previous track I posted this is as it happened, - absolutely live.

Ok John...
you're killin me here! Too much GREAT music too fast!

Overload, overload overload... does not compute! KABOOM!

Seriously you have done some amazing stuff and keep it coming... I might be a while in commenting but I'll find it eventually. I'm sooooo far behind!

thanks again Mark,
they're good to keep, don't even know why I did it but I'm glad I did. I have some really funny ones as well, one in particular with two members of the band arguing through most of the track, mostly you cant really hear what they're saying but you can tell by the tone it's not friendly.

Kicker,
just love this style,it is great to hear that folk won't let all these different types and styles of music fade away.I agree with young Holbrook as well the ambience of the live surroundings add they do not in anyway detract....Encore !!

thanks for listening, I love to hear all these old tapes from time to time, I have a version of Achey Breaky Heart that you wouldn't believe. It's really dreadful and if I posted it on here I'd have the music police on my tail, mind you it's very funny as well,

ttfn,

John.

Hotcha-cha Cha!
Nice one, John. I could imagine the flappers spinning to this one.

Nice job on the ivories... a little boojie-woojie jazz feel? ;)

Well flappers are fine
by me and sweet young things, but vamps are more realistic I think at my time of life.

Thanks for listening and commenting

Awesome_____
I love this Woofer. I had to see what the "10" rating was all about and I am sure glad I stopped for a listen.

Very Nice. Thanks for sharing - 10's here as well,

mvh : )

woofer3 said 253 days ago
I'm very taken back-
by the ten rating [though I see it's not ten anymore] 'cos it was recorded without any time for a proper check. I usually disable the rating thing but forgot this time. It's only a bit of fun really.

Thank you for taking the trouble to comment, it makes it all worthwhile.

Happy not to miss this!!
This is cool. I love these qualities from the past... haven't lived that time but I listened to few. Sounds a little Travis.... Really cool and put a big smile here! KUDOS!

Take Care

Load 'em up!
I dig this band big time, even with the ambient noise I would ask that you keep uploading these because they speak to a bygone time so well.

woofer3 said 253 days ago
