Yeah man!! You hit this one right on. Like the feel of it and your ability to pull the listener into your story. Well done. |

Dr. John Soundhound, this sounds like a track sung by Dr. John. You and he are soul mates! You sound very similar, and your approach to a song "Look at all my TV shows, instead of going to bed" -- I can relate to that! Just a guitar and a vocal here, but that's enough! The song is powerful just 'as is.' Your vocal is commanding and affecting. It makes you say, "I can relate!" I love the slide guitar sound. "Swamp Guitar" -- I'm not sure what that means, but I sure do like it. Maybe that means the swamps of New Orleans? This track would have right at home in the movie, "Brother, Where Art Thou?" George Clooney could have lip-synched this and been very convincing. This is a very authentic, 'roots'-type track that you don't hear often on MJ. Refreshing! Best, John Stebbe |
