John,
Not one of your songs is "just a song."

Spectacular, superb, amazing, mind blowing all come to mind when listening to your stuff!

Not so much the content in this song but the mix, the performance! Excellent!

Love the guitar solo!!! Was it slide!?

woofer3 said 261 days ago
than you Mark-
The song is a bit of a throw away which has been hanging around for nearly five years. - I can write trashy lyrics with the best if them !

I used a cry baby pedal for the solo with some overdrive from a Behringer OD100 pedal. I played most of the solo with the Cry Baby in the open position.

Again, thank you for you comments.

THis is
just the perfect pop song John. Best production too that I've heard from you. I can imagine singing this in the car on the motorway. Actually I probably will since I have just downloaded it. Thanks.
Cheers
Len

Leonardo my friend -
yes I am paying a little more attention to production these days and I can tell it's paying off, or at least I think it is. Let's hope it lasts ay -!!

Cars?
sounds like an intro to a Cars song.. and the whole song has that Cars vibe... and to me that is a good thing. this song has a 50's kind of energy and vibrancy to it. love the straight-forward no frills vocals too.

woofer3 said 259 days ago
the Cars -
well I haven't listened to a lot of their music. I suppose it probably sounds a bit 1950's because I loved that period. Thank you very much for your comments, - very much appreciated - will check out the Cars.

2003 was a very good year
I'm laughing in my beer. This is an upbeat song of love anxiety. I love the "dittabops". Well done, sir!

I am taking
- doo wop correction tablets and have been for a while, but up to now they seem to have had no effect I'm afraid. - awful 'init!

Thanks for your comment, much appreciated.

Diddley Woop Never Sounded So Good
Hey how about that reggae-doowop? I think it sounds great.

Good vocals, diddley woop, as well as bass, drums, piano and guitar.

Do you ever write a song that isn't catchy and interesting. No, I don't think you do.

Thanks again for posting, another smash Welshtune.

woofer3 said 257 days ago
I used to keep quiet
about liking doo wop at one time 'cos everybody thought it was uncool, but then I read that Frank Zappa really liked it and so after that I couldn't have cared less what other people thought. My first doo wop record was Silhouettes - by The Rays. Still got it.

Thank you for listening and commenting and liking it as well.

You gave me a copy of
Sillouettes by the Rays John, which was excellent. I love you playing it too. Be in my Dreams is amazing too. Well done

woofer3 said 254 days ago
you know -
Silhouettes is one of the magical records from 1957 - I only have to hear it and I'm transported back to that time. I remember the flipside as well which was Daddy Cool. Both these song were widely covered but in my opinion nothing comes even close to the Rays on either. There was a dreadful version of Silhouettes by Herman's Armpits in 1965 for which they should have been shot.

Thank you Wendy.
