Description A short, desperate lovesong written by German Composer Andreas Rauch (1592-1656)
Three voices a cappella and production by dirigent
Lyrics Ach weh des Leiden,
muss es denn sein gescheiden?
Ach weh der Schmerzen,
so ich empfind im Herzen!
Muss ich dich denn aufgeben,
so kost's mir mein Leben.

Alas, the affliction hurts,
do we have to part?
Alas, great pain
I feel in my heart!
If I have to give you up
I will depart this life.

Lovely crisp vocals
Can you tell me what your mic set-up was. The German inflections were so clear and the tone bright. Delightful!

Vocal setup
I recorded the vocal tracks with a Zoom-H4-player and cleaned the single tracks with iZotope RX mastering/noisereduction software before mixing in Logic Pro

Vunderbar!
Beautifully sung and performed to say the least. A lot of work must have gone into the recording process too on this, so congratulations, regards M

Excellent
This is fantastic! The early baroque is a period with a lot of fantastic music that most classical music fans are largely unfamiliar with, so it is great to be able to hear it here, and performed so beautifully.

Are you the singer(s)? Excellent singing!

Beautiful work Andreas!
I love the way you shift back and forth between musical styles - I'm not a big classical music fan, but the posts you are making of choral music sound just right to my ears.

This is exceptional!

Impressive
Dirigent, this is a very impressive track. Your choral background is immediately apparent in your vocal delivery. When I was in high school I sang in a madrigal group, and we often chose pieces like this one. This performance brings back great memories.

Your singing is right on pitch, with a very pleasing tone quality. And the recording is top-notch. Great work!
