Description It's another old demo from the vaults. Real hot bubble gum all pink and sticky. Shameless pop with crackles and a few snaps theown in.

I have no idea why I wrote this but there are references to Little Richard's - miss Ann and to Clara Smith's beautiful Rock Church Rock. Just an excuse to write a song I suspect. It's a little bit Staxy here and there.

I think its sweet!
I used to hear Chicago referred to as "Bubble gum rock". Frankly I thought many of their pieces were wonderfully orchestrated and had a lot of depth.

I guess it's all in the ear of the listener.

Love this!

You know I am crazy about your music- I don't believe it that you got another fantastic song up for us to listen too, Wow keep em coming we love you. The backing music is brilliant as always and your wonderful voice
is something to behold. You have a unique style of your own.
You Rock !! I have most of your songs on my ipod and no doubt I wil be back fro the rest.
Peace Dee.x

Hello Dee, thank you
- you know I have loads of these little pop songs that I have written over the years. I generally try to write about something I feel strongly about but as you can tell this is one is complete and utter nonsense! - even I don't know what it's about. I just love writing songs more than anything. It gives me such a feeling of satisfaction.

John.- peace always -

This is great
I love it John, a lovely bit of rock n roll

woofer3 said 267 days ago
yes WendyWoo -
-see- I know who you are, the Welsh songbird from the West. I suppose it is rock'n'roll. It also mentions Charlie Davenport's -Cow Cow Boogie as well. I intend to record that before long. Always love Charlie's piano style and the way he'd switch between stride to boogie mid flight.

Thank you for listening and leving a nice comment.

Little Richard meets Steptoe & Son
John this is a wonderful piece of music. One of the most catchy songs I've ever heard. I really think that you could/should have made a fortune as a song writer.
Great fun and an instant download (I might change the name of my music player to an iwoofer).
Cheers
Len

thanks Len,
you are very kind to say this. This song is a few years old now and was recorded on an old portastudio. I did try to get a publishing deal but was unsuccessful. It's a strange scene at the moment I think. I did get some music on the radio but that was about it. Still you never know, I'm certaily not short of material.

Yea
this is really good.Buddy Holly would be envious.Great song!

woofer3 said 266 days ago
I used to love
the way Buddy could write such distinctive and hooky songs with just a few basic chords. Of all those old rockers I always felt that he would have probably developed into the most creative had his life not been cut so short.

Thank you for listening,

John.

I believe
that I don't understand totally all the lyrics but, this tune is excellent, good rhythm, nice vocals and nice music. I love it... Thanks
Marc

woofer3 said 266 days ago
Thanks,
I am a big fan of doo wop music and as such never ever let the absense of good lyrics get in the way of what I think might be a good idea! woop woop bop woop shoop shoop.......

The song as I remember started it's life as just the title phrase and I added any thing that would fit. No deep thoughts or meaning here I'm afraid. 100% pure nonsense.

Anyway I'm glad you like it and thanks for taking the time to comment,

John

sometimes when you
try to re recoed these old songs properly you can't capture the original feel for some reason. My granddaughter Danielle did the scream at the end of the piano solo.

Thank you Birdman,

John
