I'm an empty headed twit.... I think this is perhaps the 1st time I've done this, lol! So, I guess you owe me another comment for us to be even? But then who gives a tinkers dam about things of that nature..... actually, I' sure I owe you several "listening's" brother. thanks again,

Alvin

Axgrinder said 227 days ago
Thanks man!
If I didn't sport an 11 in front of my handle, I'd feel like a newbe..... Life took a turn in a different direction, but now I think I might be more available. Nice to see the place still shines! I appreciate your kind words my friend......

Kenta!
Yes indeed, It tis a wee light in the decibels! I thought plenty loud till I uploaded it and gave it a listen.... but then again, it is a mere sketch. Thanks for the kudos as always my good friend! I'll be buy, for I just got back online after what seemed like an eternity!!! love you man,

Alvin

dude!
i was literally think LAST NIGHT... hmm, I haven't seen Alvin around lately, wonder where he's been.
I wake up today and boom! I have an email telling me you just posted a new tune.
Glad to see you around, brother.

To the tune...
It's eerie and haunting. Nice playing. I dig the contrast of the gentle piano and the mean guitars.
Very cool "experimental" piece as you labeled it. The only thing i noticed mix-wise was a part where the drums rolled, my speakers crackled quite a bit. but that's a small nit compared to how cool this is.
looking forward to seeing you surface more often.
-Jason

Axgrinder said 225 days ago
Much obliged, kind gentleman!
Thanks for your inspiring comment bro, I didn't quite expect such an unexpected fallowing on this "experimental rough sketch" I don't know exactly where this stuff comes from (when it comes) However, I'm glad it didn't cause you to much pain! I look forward to our future interactions and thanks for being there man....

Best 2 U,

Alvin

davisamerica said 227 days ago
all right then ax
this was a way cool surprise today! Alvin man u rock x11 and this tune just puts the !! behind that ... what a great contrast in textures and was that a "whoops" at the end ??..lol. very nice to see a post by a fav of mine since jump street here man..... downloaded and thanks!

Axgrinder said 225 days ago
Cool!
The mere fact that you downloaded this attests to your sincerity, brother! I'm quite relieved to find that my meager presence hasn't sabotaged what popularity I've accumulated in the past 11 months! not that it really matters, so as long as you folks aren't pitching "binary beer bottles" at me, lol! I'll be by to return your patronage with a bit of my own....

Best wishes,

Alvin

HEY ALVIN!
How the hell are ya! Glad to see your back!

I like the sharp contrasts between the guitar and piano.
I get a System of a Down meets Godsmack feel with this one. At first I was Oh, Hmmm? then at 26 sec, It was devil horns!! Plans for any lyrics? I don't know why, but I keep hearing death metal singing for this. Anyway, some good screamin' lyrics would top off this little gem.
What a way to return..Hard and Heavy!

Off the hook experiment my friend!

Take care and talk to you soon.

Chris

Axgrinder said 225 days ago
Off the hook, is it now?
Well bro, this coming from you is considered to be highly treasured! I appreciate your critique and I shall implement your discernment regarding that crackling drum break, eh? I didn't get any red on the mix-down other than a a minor spike that shouldn't have effected anything, considering it was outputs 1 & 2! it's the track outs that you really have to be tight on.... I also look forward to "catching up" so to speak. been awhile, it has! You R-O-C-K Chris, and thanks again, bro.

I'll be by,

Alvin

Wowzers!
Good to have you back Axe!

You're definitely on to something here man. Off and running... Interesting composition and smokin guitar work!

Be well!

Axgrinder said 225 days ago
Take the "to" out of it,
and you've nailed it! Lol. These things just kinda pop up from time to time. I'm glad you dig it and I appreciate your heartfelt accolades brother.... That email should show up in your ebox this eve! To many eeeee's.... I've really missed you guy's!

Best to you,

Alvin

lavalamp said 225 days ago
Raunchy cool
Dude you truly rock. I tip my hat to you.

Rockin' good fun.

Axgrinder said 225 days ago
It was nice to climb back up into......
the saddle again, bro. (I had to try out the lame ass "auto title" option) Could have used "I'm touched" of which I am truly, however, I figured it was a wee to girly, lol. Thanks man, and if any one should be tipping their hat, it should be me to you!

Live well my friend,

Alvin

The Axeman Cometh
well enough lisping for one day ( supposed to be funny...cometh....oh well....I spend too much time alone )
Guitar sounds great very spontaneous and rife with aggression....some real disjointed and parts to this, effective use of dissonance....very avante garde...breaks a lot of rules....very cool concept...
Now that we are both back we should collaborate on something (preferrably something dark and twisted....you know the kind of music you cant dance to )
Great to hear you bro!

Axgrinder said 225 days ago
You are fare to generous.....
Riffmaster general!,
For if I could only compare to your genius, I might have a chance at stardom! You have yet to fail to inspire me..... Thank you for the kind words! You inspirit me to sally forth brother, striving to unlock the eternal note!!!

God bless,

Avin

Axgrinder said 225 days ago
4 shore!
We must collaborate indeed!!! I have yet another to unleash in the near future that you will be all over,,,,

Best to you bro.

Alvin

Axgrinder said 225 days ago
OOPS!
That would be F-A-R to generous!

Axgrinder said 225 days ago
I am an idiot!
If I could only compare..... That is!

Axgrinder said 225 days ago
PS.
Not to you being an idiot. of course..... Lol!

Moviz said 225 days ago
I thought
you'd gone all classical at the opening then wham! that great guitar started up, great playing as always, but a bit shorter than I expected and low in the volume department. I like the pic too... like a modern Church window. Nice to see you around again Alvin, regards M

Axgrinder said 225 days ago
Thank you!
I must return your patronage, good friend! Nice to see you as well.

Always,

Alvin

Vic Holman said 224 days ago
yo axe
good to have you back.

ace guitar work. a great way to break the boundry of straight up metal. the stop and go breaks, are slick. the piano bits made me think along the lines of faith no more. cool

Axgrinder said 223 days ago
Much obliged.......
my nolonger snowed in friend! Thanks for your input as always. Nice to have mike back, huh? I'll be by for an ear full....

best 2 U bro,

Alvin
