Yor're following in the tradition of the minstrels of old my friend, and if you do enough for an album you might just bring the genre back into vogue. That would be so cool. Bill you are superb - I really love this piece. I like everything about it. I am put in mind of one of my favourite players, - Mississippi John Hurt. It is not[to me]very far from Blind Blake either. I have lots of records by both of these men. My favourite track by Blind Blake is - Hastings Street, and my favourite by John Hurt is Stack'o Lee, though it's hard to choose. Truly excellent, with such warmth. Love the vocals too. John. |

Good stuff Besides being in the Navy myself and therefore identifying with the song, I like the finger picking and the words. Great vocal clarity, wonder if the guitar is a bit over mixed? What kind of mic are you using? I do not mean to be critical, just inquisitive. |
