Hope you enjoy our efforts

Ed

p.s. Thanks for the Collab Chris, it was a lot of fun seeing what you did with the song.

Why'd you raise my rent?
Because you got to go down that lonesome valley all alone.
Two and two is four, one and one is two.
What did I ever do to you?
You're going to find yourself all alone.
Roses are red, violets are blue; what did I ever do to you?
O, what you do to me, you do to yourself.
Because you got to go down to that lonesome valley all alone.

Man that's some good Whiskey Kenta
I think I'll buy me some of that stuff for sure man. Glad you and your lady got into it on this song , and had a good old time Kenta. Thanks for the cool words and encouragement, it is appreciated.

I put this track together for the LIOLI-7 challenge and after it was posted here I posted it on iCompositions as well. When Pharmakeus (Chris McMahon) heard it he asked if he could put some lyrics to it.

Well here you go, and I'm really tickled about what Chris did with it. Thanks Chris for a fine job man.

Thanks again Kenta for listening my friend

It's a
good rocking ride alright. You both did a great production on this... great vocal and terrific backing... love the guitars, cheers M

sloparts said 277 days ago
Thanks Maurice
Glad you enjoyed the ride. Chris did a hell of a job putting down the lyrics, which made this into a real song. I thank him for that, and I thank you for the kind words.

Be well my friend, and thanks again

right then
a rocker indeed ... love the gits and the organ is spot on the mark ... cool collab gents .....

sloparts said 277 days ago
Thanks Davis
More fun than a barrel full of monkeys I'll tell ya. Chris did a hell of a job putting lyrics and vocals to what seemed like an unlikely instrumental to put it to. May hats off to him for being able to make it fit like he did.

Thanks for the kind words Davis, they are appreciated

Fun blues rocker
with some really nice tones. This was fun to listen to!

sloparts said 277 days ago
Thanks Al
Glad you dropped in to listen, and found something you liked here. I'll take credit for the music, but Chris McMahon (Pharmakeus) get the nod for the fine job he did fitting lyrics to it and the vocal.

Thanks again for the kind words.

Thank you Karen
Glad you enjoyed the song. As I've said we need to thank Chris (Pharmakeus) for fitting those lyrics in and singing the vocal. He's really the star on this one, I assure you.

Thanks again for the kind words and encouragement Karen.

Stomping Ed!
And you do country as well ;-)

Cheers

Dick

sloparts said 277 days ago
Hi Dick
I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I did always do country music. Country was a sideline, this is the stuff I really like doing. It's just taken me a while to get up the courage to go back and tackle my demons and get back to it. This stuff and the Blues are what I was in the 60's and 70's.

Thanks for the kind words Dick, as always, they give me the courage to go for it.

I'm excited that you are doing more collabs, that's great!
You and Chris did a Bang-up job and work well together...
I'm a little jealous but I'll get over it, lol!
Keep it up my Buddy, I'm so proud of you!

sloparts said 277 days ago
Thanks again lil' Buddy
This is another instrumental I did, but this one was for the LIOLI-7 challenge. Chris heard it and said he'd like to put some lyrics to it, so I said go for it.

I think he did a pretty darn good job making this into a song, and his vocal is top drawer if you ask me.

Thanks you love for listening to this one as well as the others. You opinion means a lot to me as you know.

Be well

Buddy Ed

Rockin collab!
Chris, you really got into the spirit of this. Good job man. Ed this really rocks. I detect a hint of the Sir Douglas Quintet. Indeed, it's about a mover!

Be well!

sloparts said 275 days ago
Thanks Mike
Yeah, I agree with you, Chris did a fine job on this one, he's a talent for sure. It was a lot of fun doing the Woodstock-MJ festival, and this whole thing is an outgrowth of the event. Turned out pretty fair if I do say so myself.

Thanks again for the kind words Mike and by the way, glad to see you back and getting after it again.

Be well my friend

as I am trying to sell my house and having to pay mucho rent I can identify,. I am amazed at the texture of your voice! I am hearing such talent here at MJ, like your such blending of your vocal to the music, amazing.

Cool rockin with that radio friendly voice!

sloparts said 273 days ago
Thanks Bill,
but I can't take the credit for the singing on this one. Chris McMahon (Pharmakeus) wrote the lyrics and he also did the singing on it.

All I did was put the music together in the first place, and then mix in Chris' vocal when he sent it to me. I personally think he did a great job of making it fit into the song without it sounding contrived. Not an easy thing to do with a piece of music like this one I'll tell ya. Plus the singing style he used just worked great for this song. He's a major talent the way I see it.

Never the less, I do thank you for listening Bill and for the kind words. If you'd would like to hear what is one of the better vocals I've done in recent times, have a listen to "Half the Blues". I'm liking that one a lot.

Be well my friend

Took some time to warm up Ed
but a minute or so in the temperature was raised. Chris did a great job with the vocals - reminiscent of Van Morrison's early days with Them in his phrasing. Some old friends there amongst the loops, but used intelligently and with great results.

Nice one Ed.
Neil

sloparts said 272 days ago
Thanks Neil and the answer is no,
How I learned to recycle old songs in 60 minutes or less. There ought to be a book on this.

Chris did a great job getting this to fit together, and the more I listen to it the more I like it. His vocal is just great too.

When you first start using GB you get caught up in all the great loops and forget that most of the people listening have already used those loops before you discovered them. After a while I'll get over this flush on loops and go back to making my own stuff from scratch using the loops just for accents and flavoring, but for now I'm having too much fun.

Thanks again for the kind word Neil, they are appreciated.

Be well my friend
