Description written 2007
Lyrics No man's land - written by woofer3

2007
verse 1
trouble always in the air, danger at the door,
terror tries to rule the world, it's a kind of war,
we don't know how it will end.
and we don't know how to defend ourselves
from those whose reasons are unclear.

verse2
evil moves among us, and all with little claim,
victims that'll bleed when cut they all hurt the same.
women children they won't care
they'll kill and maim and rip and tear,
the souls of people they don't even know.

chorus
living in the middle of no man's land with nowhere to go,
nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.
living in the middle of no man's land everyday,
you can't win 'cos they make all the rules.

verse3
unsuspecting danger they're exposed and unaware,
they don't ever stand a chance
it all seems so unfair,
human right defending crime they don't know where to draw the line,
but you can bet they'll always get it wrong.

repeat chorus.

Cool song
Love the different changes... Wish the vocals were more in the front though.

woofer3 said 279 days ago
I think you're right re-
the vocals as a few people have said the same thing but to me I thought they were a bit too loud. I can never make up my mind about such things!

Thanks for listening and commenting,

John

Thank you once again Feter-
for your comments. It's 1am in the morning here and I'm cream crackered as I've just got in from a gig. Still never mind it's good to hear from my old chum.

I'm glad you like this piece of music. Thank you again.

I think that this
is a wonderful song. Love the chord progressions and melody - moving. Great performance.
Cheers

Thank you Len
a sad subject I'm afraid. I usually use sarcasm in my songs but there is no place for it here.

I'm glad you like it.

Nice song
Nice sound you get here. It reminds me somewhat of Pink Floyd - are you a fan? Good lyrics too. I think the positioning of the lyrics is quite good - maybe if they didn't have quite so much fx on them it would make them clearer. It has a haunting quality as it stands...

woofer3 said 274 days ago
Thank you-
no I'm not really a big fan of Pink Floyd, probably only 'cos I haven't listened to them that much. I think the only album I have is Obscured by Clouds from about 1971-ish.

Glad you like the song.

No man's land

Hi John this is very thought provoking and emotional subject
this sounds really good also very well produced and like all your music
and your singing. You have a great voice.

I just love it all.

But my favorite one is your very first post what a classics its fantastic
its a hit that one in my ears. I thnk it should go in the blues category
also. Might give it more exposure. Its brilliant !!! I listen to it a lot.

Peace Dee xx

Thank you Dee
I'm pleased you like this song, and it's very kind of you to leave such complimentary comments. I think you're right about my first post being a blues. I shall change it I think.

Best wishes,

John.

I Forgot to Comment
I had listened to this before and thought I had commented, but lo and behold.

Good song and instrumentation especially the strings and harmonies. It reminds me a bit of Procol Harum, one of my favorites, but is still Woofer all the way,

Another gem.

you know apart from a handful of tracks I don't really know much about Procul Harem I'm ashamed to say.

Thank you my best mate who introduced mr to Whitecastle fast foods......... forever grateful.
