I wanna see a picture of you with the purple Strat and daisy strap - rock goddess conquers Dr. Lioli. This is a great track everything's working and the vocals and lyrics are wonderful. I was one of those kids under the desk. Great collab. |

Duck and Cover I for one still have the blinding-flash-melting-like-wicked-witch dreams, but this should help fight the darkness. This song is great, guys, excellent work!! |

Excellent message, delivered with class and style regardless of LIOLI-7. Very cool song here you two, I congratulate you on a wonderful job together. As far as the guitar playing is concerned, I didn't notice anything that distracted me in any way. That simply means it was just fine in the context of the song, and you can't ask for more than that. Thanks for joining Lioli-7 and for this really great song. I think you just put the final nail in the evil Doctors coffin my friends. Ed |

Gee... I spent time in one of my therapy sessions today explaining to one of my teen clients what plutonium is... 'Cause he asked and didn't know... Add me to the list of those wanting to see the artsy graphic element with Lisa, purple Strat, and daisy guitar strap... Ed |

I thought the rules clearly stated No Nukes! Seriously though. A Haunting little number. But is definitely memorable. I love how the song builds all the way to the end. Always a pleasure to listen. I for one am glad you fought not only the evil Dr. but the flu too! |

more than one I so look forward to an Orbiting endeavor. brilliant to better this one. Beatle-esque in places. I really dig the way it takes the time to get there, and when it does !!!!! omg around that 6 minute mark I was melted butter. |

Actually... ....that picture reminds me of grade school earthquake drills in Southern California. ( I never was at school when the earthquakes hit... :P ) Hooray for you, for breaking out the purpler Fender Satin Stratocaster, Lisa! :) It sounds great, so now you have NO excuse not to do more, yes?? I hope to hear more in the future! I've loved listening to these LIOLI7 songs--and a great collaboration on this entry! You guys work so well together :) Kudos!! |

Alarm Clock Percussion I was not a fan of the processed percussive drum(?) during the verses. I liked the instrumentation in the choruses more. Vocal reminded me a little of Bjork's texture. I especially liked the crescendo in the end. Good message and lyrics and overall an excellent production. |

Smashing! It's a flawless production to a great song. I love the slightly lazy tone you give to the voice, and a very nice Bob Marley quote towards the end. Have you just bought a guitar ? |

haha... ..did you really think you had to ask your audience to stick around to the end? ;-) maybe a suggestion to try and be kind to simon's bandwidth would have been more appropriate. you and everyone involved should be rich and famous. |

Lovely stuff! Wonderful vocal Lisa - real class! Matt, the backing sounds so clean and "right" - and hey, the guitarist is SO COOL ;) We all need a photo with the purple Strat! This gets better and better as it goes along - what a great track! Beautiful production! Neil |

finally! I get around to listening to some songs here! I haven't been able to for a while just due to general busy-ness with my own things. I really don't know what I've been doing, just lingering around, I guess, trying to finish up project or five I have lying around, but anyway, this is a pretty supa. I leave of the dupa, since it hits the red the whole second half of the song and please see http://www.macjams.com/forum/viewtopic.php?forum=21;showtopic=121180 for more about that. But the voice is great, the mix is great, the concept is great! |

I also have to imagine most of those kids in the pic where not to thrilled to find years of chewing gum stuck under the desks :) |

Homey!... If you get any more sexy, your head is gonna fall off and roll real fast up a steep hill. Weird I know, but it's the only fart that my tired brain would poot for me tonight. A bit of a departure for you and Matt but it's as good, if not gooder then the place from whence you've come, I'd say. And by the way, that would have been a good hit of acid, according to what's left of that part of my brain that can still muster up some kinda memory about it. However, it's nice to be able to listen to this and head to some of those far off places without worrying about getting the vampire crunchies. (that's what my best friend would call that sideways backward spin up in a motionless twisty twirl action toward the butt end of a REALLY good "ride". Dat be around the time the sun was about to rise. - Hey... you guys took me there... I'm totally dign' the way ya perc'd this w/ the electro scratchy, buzzes and all. The synth work on this has my ear too. Really nice mix of everything. Ya get good marks for originality too. Quite the trippy grooven little number. I'm at a fifth listen and still intrigued. You could say that I'm kinda dign' it. Congratulations to both of you! This is a pretty special piece, by my system's accounting of it. Thanks! Dion |

wow guys this is excellent work. i like how you use that synth drum sound during the verses and then move into more traditional instrumentation in the choruses. everything sounds great to me, including your guitar playing. a little Marley referencing too (my fave song of his is "Selassie is the Chapel." check it out). you guys did a great thing here. |

Majestic Love the way this builds, it soars at the end. Your singing is as good and sensual as ever, with a wonderful message in the lyrics. The engineering is inspiring as well. As for the guitar le-debut, Allen beat me to the punch, the guitar sounds like something Lennon would play, so be proud! |

One of the best I ever heard When I say that this is one of the best songs I ever heard I do not say that lightly. I was (years ago) a music director at a pop radio station. I would review perhaps 40 new releases every week and choose the 2 or 3 that might get played. This would make my list for sure. This has a great sonic statement, flawless production, great lyrics, and is timeless in its lyric content. It is about TODAY, no matter what day it is 'cause they are still stealing our dreams. Only one thing I would change about the song and that would be a shouted WAKE UP! right at the 2:56 mark followed by a screaming guitar solo. This song has a lot of potential. |

Wake Up God that photo - I remember those days so well. Like that desk was going to protect anybody! I don't know how I missed this first time through, but WOW - this is one of the most amazing pieces of music I've heard at MJ or I think anyplace. I'm really blown away by what you guys have done here. The driving beat, the vocals, and wow - the production is just simple incredible. What a team you two are! Thanks |

Nightmare By the far the darkest/lightest thing you've done guys. While you were sleeping they were dreaming for you is a killer line... I kinda wish you'd kept this dark rather than have the 'fight the darkness' section, but thats just my current state of mind. Outstanding. |

The end is nigh! Love the distorted, electro beats at the start of this, and then the sweet gentle vocal comes in... a punch in a velvet glove. Must check out some more of your songs, this is inspired. |

Wake Up I don't think I've ever come back to a song and "re-commented", but I can't stop listening to this. It's just brilliant in every conceivable way. You guys are incredible together. Ledeb - I hope you're still thinking about trying some vocals on "Angel Convention"! Thanks again you two for this killer song! |

a poetess and a magician took a stroll in a sylvan idyll. Pausing by a babbling brook he dipped his beaker into the froth and lifted it glistening towards the sun. The poetess sang into the multicolored beams that refracted from that vessel and splayed upon the slippery stones. Thus a song was born. Thank you very much... we so need an anthem. |

Collage I really like the movement of different sounds through this piece. The intro and the guitar chorus at the end don't necessarily fit together, but the "sound-flow" in between these two sections connects them, somehow---cool! Sweet experiment, and I like the invocation of Mr. Marley at the end. -g |

Yes!! I haven't heard them all but this is probably the best song I have heard on MacJams ever! This is a definite d/l. The mix is super, the music bed is scrumptious, the vocals are spot on, the lyrics are simple but timeless. An outstanding job. My hat is off to you both Matt, wielder of synth and plug-ins, and Lisa, wielder of daisy guitar strap and vocal prowess. |

i'm awake! i'm loving all the versions i'm hearing of this tune. this one has a great lo-fi industrial edge. gets all big and surroundy at the end too. nice work! |

The beat at the start made me jump. The music is brilliant and the singing is lovely to listen to. Cool lyrics and was amazed at what I think was the lioli loop very subtle in the backround. This is a brilliant track. Well done.
P.s. Snap! With you about the zillions of plug ins
