Haha, yes, I can definitely
Imagine your surprise! Listen to this, now, but believe I'm not joking, it's the plain truth: there's even a guy called Tony Blair!
What fun to bump into you tonight!

woofer3 said 304 days ago
Now I know you're joking,-
Tony Blair, - whoever heard of such a name ? are you sure?

Seriously, thanks for your comments, I'm glad you liked the song.

Well Feter- thank you
I'm glad you enjoyed this musical trifle, it was quite topical when it was written in 2003.

Do do wop bop bop, It really is a very silly song....thank you again.

Best wishes,

John

Comedy?
Much better than a satire piece. Arrangement, production, and musicianship are first class. It has a edge to it that's hard to describe... or place. Nice work.

woofer3 said 304 days ago
Many thanks for
your kind words, they are very much appreciated.I suppose that this is more comedy than anything else.

Best wishes,

John

Love this!
Oh yes, I remember Clare Short. She was that woman who meant to throw a firework under Blair's arse but forgot to bring her matches.

I love a bit of British musical sarcasm and you take it a stage further with such a sweetly melodic setting. Wonderful sounds and an addictive hook. As RMD says it's almost too good to be a satire piece, but so what, it's delightful.

Thank you Rebsie,-
from Druid's Bunion productions in Wales. I'm glad you liked the song, had it been written 20 years earlier I would have said that the Welsh magic mushrooms may have had to have been included in the composer credits but this just grew on it's own from it's simple chorus . It's still occaisionally played at gigs though not quite so much now as it isn't that topical anymore.

Thank you again for your kind words,

John.

A really
impressive fun song John. Very catchy chorus and I love the Zappa vocals too. You're certainly not short on talent - that's for sure. Loved it.
Cheers
Len

It started it's life
as just a bit of a joke, which of course is what it still is and then I got to like it and decided to record it. It was influenced writingwise by Frank Zappa as I remember as I have always been a big fan of his, particularly the fun side of him rather than the 25 minute guitar solos that surfaced here and there.

I'm glad you like it Len and thanks for taking the time to comment.

Poor Claire
I love the turn on the word short in the chorus. Nice guitar work too. Once again woofer does not come up short.
