Description The first song I worked on with my Dad and the last song I worked on before Garageband came out. I think it kind of feels like a song you'd hear in an old spaghetti western. Oh, and two words: flute solo.

Song written and acoustic guitar performed by Michael Parker. Production and various accompaniments by John Parker (me).
Hardware Digi 001, PowerMac G4

No spaghetti...
I like this song. Sound kinda Chris Isaak-ish to me. Some
vocals and perhaps some more lower end harmonics
might round it out for me a little more. Dig the flute. In
two words...well done.

No spaghetti...
Thanks. We're going to try another song of his soon, and getting more on the low-end is one of my tasks...good call. I'm not sure about Chris Issak-ness...but maybe not spaghetti western either, though...not sure.

Excellent production
What a great sound. Excellent mix, acoustic instrument
sounds. Everything sounded real and pro.

Excellent production
But it might be better under Acoustic New Age instrumentals... with a western
flare.

clean sounding song
This piece has some really nice guitar pieces. Your dad can really play, it's cool you could share this moment with him. My father was always impressed with the fact that one person could lay down several tracks and perform in a recording as a one man band. I cherish those times that I was afforded a 4 track recorder. I spent many an hour coming up with tunes and creating my own cassettes. I sent some of my creations to my dad. He seemed always supportive of his kids musical endeavors. Thanks for sharing with us.
