Description lbstrat posted a version of this on his site and someone made a comment that it needed bass and drums. Those were my contributions. Mark has a version of this on his site but someone else said it needed a cowbell. So I added some cowbell and remixed the bass. Hope you like it and I hope you appreciate the great playing by lbstrat that made this song so easy to add parts to and fun to contribute to.

You're right
I don't know if I have the time or the talent. I hope someone will take up the challenge.

DIRECTOR'S CUT?
Both Mixes are Great.
Kit, Bass, Soundstage are outstanding.
The Guitars are addictive.

high regards,
Cooper

thanks
On both versions I tried to make the soundstage sound as if it was just a quartet jamming. lbstrat's original track was so great that my task was simply to not mess it up too much.

surfs up
soooo 60's sounding I feel like surfing or drinking at a surfs bar

60's sound
Stood in line at a political rally with a bunch of college students the other day. They were impressed and awed that I really heard a lot of the 60's bands at their prime. One small perk of being too old.

Just finished
downloading the other version. Don't know what to do now - they both sound great. I know download this one too, can't have too much of a good thing.
Cheers
Len

needed the cowbells
I like both and did the first one so fast that I really didn't have too much time to think about the mix. Added the bells 'cause I new it would be cool to have them and did a little change to the mix of the bass to let the guitars ahve a nice hole in the middle of the mix. Glad you like both versions.

Cool
Well placed bell ringing. I like all the versions of this song.

Thanks
Bill

PS I was worried at first, because I read the description before listening. Somehow mention of a cow bell brought up visions of Will Farrell ruining Don't Fear the Reaper by BOC.

announcer said 324 days ago
OH my god
Will Farrell ruins most of the things he is in. Thank god my cowbell was not that bad!

Vic Holman said 324 days ago
one more time
sounds good with the bass redone and yes cowbell!!

cool of you Bill, to step in and give Mark some supporting rhythm.

what a
fab addition to the song it really does change the soul of this simple song

announcer said 322 days ago
Two reasons for that.
the addition of the bass and drums does take the song to somewhere different than the original just because of the added instrumentation, but I also mastered the song with compression and limiting. If applied carefully, this type of compression can add a level aggressiveness and excitement to what was a more laidback track. It is something that can be overdone but I thought it worked here well.
