Description Hi All

I added a couple layers to KTB's excellent sound bed. I left some nice big spaces for other jammers if you are game!

Peace

Nice done
It's sure is a good sound bed... Some lyrics could fit well to this...?
Maybe some synths too...?
But it sounds good as it is now too.

Cheers from the beers

I think some other parts would definitely add to this, especially some vocals.

Karmatoburn said 335 days ago
very cool
diggin that rhodes sound all around. its great that you shouted out to other Mj'ers to chime in. I like it.

peacepiano said 334 days ago
KTB
You made this fun and easy to play along with. I'm looking forward to hearing others :)

The idea of...
...a progressive composition%u2014 passing it along to whomever --- what a cool thing is that?! I like what you have done so far. Maybe a little jazz flute? ... I can hear all sorts things that could overlay your very nice rhythm track. keep us posted if and when this grows into something else. I really like this a lot.
Peace. Paul

Its fun making music this way. I hope some others jump on or start with KTB's original and take their own tack. I'll let you know if I hear of any other versions.

Collaboration smooth and ultra cool...

Thanks for taking the time to comment. You have some cool stuff too.

Moviz said 334 days ago
This
is a great sound with these additions. Wonderful sound to begin with as always from KTB, but it's given another dimension. A nice husky sax might be nice on the next one, but as it is now is fine for me too, cheers M

Moviz
Sax, eh. I think I can here that. There are a couple first class sax players here....

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

davisamerica said 334 days ago
right then and WOW

Sounds like you may be hooked. Love to hear what you could do with KTB's groove.

COMING ALONG
NICELY. I think a female vocalist should jump in on this one.

peacepiano said 334 days ago
Vic
I like your suggestion, but does this mean you are disqualifying yourself? I bet you could come up with something!

spitlogic said 333 days ago
wow
I just got through listening to KTB's and here you come with some nice playing in there. Yes you did leave a lot of space for others to add to it. I think I would have liked to hear more, but I guess thats the reason for an open collab; to leave space for others to contribute.

peacepiano said 332 days ago
Spitlogic
I guess I could do more, but if you want more people to add to a song, you need to leave something. Glad you liked the additions.

DWL said 332 days ago
Groovy!
Wish I had the time (or the ability) to throw something in as well.

Cheers

Pardon me if I beg to differ on your talents, and thanks for the kind words.

Very good
Very good bed of sound. It already is a very cool piece. Some vocals maybe, although it feels very instrumental. A jammin' jazzy guitar?
Really good!

We have a few stunning female voices here at MJ, do you think I should send a note to one with a little vocal improve experience?

peacepiano said 330 days ago
Barretok
Thanks for the comments. KTB's sound bed could support some jazz guitar, I know they are out there....

echoroom said 331 days ago
Excellent
Great stuff Bill, wonderful additions to KTBs track. A female vocalist would be perfect for this

cool beats
Enjoy the caravan feel, kind of a heavy duty type caravan. You really follow the beat quite nicely with the melody.

Flows nice! Like the soft touch as well. great use of the percussion to give it that drive. Love the use of the bass midway through, works quite nicely with the drums.

A fun tune to listen to.

Thanks for the comments. I really like the bass in this also, guess that's one reason why I couldn't bring myself to take full advantage of all the spaces.

KTB's sound
beds are always superb and you've definitely added some lovely textures to this one.
Cheers

So groovy
It will a great track to unrust my fingers on guitar. If I come up with something I'm not too ashamed with... we'll see.
Great playing, peacepiano.

Cool track, very nice sounds, I like the beat and the E-Piano-Sound. Chilling-Space-Funk-Techno-Fusion, I dig it!

Thanks for giving this a listen. KTB did sound bed--beats, bass etc. Hope you checked his stripped down version also :)

Odd Pairing
It sounds like Herbie Hancock and Massive Attack sat down in the studio together. I like the feel. I agree with Kenta, it sounds good like this. More voices could make it too busy, but perhaps I'm not letting my imagination off its leash today.
Nice work,
-g

Listening to your latest as I reply here. Your imagination sounds pretty free :) Interesting juxtapositin: Hancock and Massive Attack. You don't need to worry that this will get too busy, I don't think I'm up to coordinating that kind of project right now.
