Excellent post I like the live feel of the drums and your guitar has real nice tone to it. Glad you joined us here - look forward to hearing more. |

Nice piece I like the keyboards here, and the guitar sound is good. The drums are interesting on here. In my opinion, there are perhaps too many changeups in the drum patterns, and maybe a crash or two too many, but that's just a question of taste. I'm with Drakonis on the panning. A great tip I heard somewhere before is that if something panned hard left or right is not going to balanced by something on the other side, then it should only last a couple of bars because it can become distracting. Of course rules in music are often best broken! This is a good track. Nicely done. Peace. |

Nice feeling to this I like the positive energy of this song, and the interplay between the piano and the guitar. I see the guitar as being more the lead instrument, so if I were in the studio I would have advised you to mix the guitar up a bit more and the piano down a bit. You could reverse this when you wanted the piano to take the lead, too. But overall, this is a successful effort, one you can build on. I'll be interested in tracking your progress. |

Great I'm new to this recording game too (it's great fun). I feel a bit awkward trying to give advice since I'm in the beginners class, but I think Futzpucker is right about defining the lead guitar more. Maybe to seperate it from the piano in the mix you could turn up the drive a little to give it a little more bite and edge so it has a differnt tone to the piano. Looking forward to your next post. |

I'm trying to check out you iCompers as much as possible.
This is a great start! There are a couple of spots where the timing seems off a little bit. The most noticeable spot was right in the beginning where the drum beat changed (at about 15 seconds). It may just be me being picky though! The more I listen to that section the more comfortable I am with it... I'm just nitpicking, it seems.
I really like the opening chords. You could actually extend that part a bit with room for a vocal and then kick in with everything else... just an idea.
Welcome to Macjams- just as addicting as Garageband!
