Captivating! To mirror what Dion said- this is extremely beautiful. Hauntingly beautiful. I was lured in from the first strains of the song and had to listen twice (would have been more if not for the whole work thing). Downloaded to future appreciation. This is really terrific! |

This is a great collab The vocals are outstanding from everyone. The sounds of the instrumentation, and the placement in the mix, is perfect. I love the lyrics, and the expression of the words by everybody singing is sweet. Very cool song. Thanks for sharing. Peace. |

movie soundtrack quality Well well, this is an excellent song! Intriguing choices of sounds, the initial choir, the Oud, the sound effects, all give this an eerie-but-familiar feel. I would have made the "loon call" a little quieter and more echoey... it was loud enough and melodic enough to almost sound like an instrument that was going terribly wrong, until I realized what it was :-) Nice haunting music, lyrics, and singing. Is that Yeman playing the Oud? Willow, I haven't seen the movie in decades... but if I remember correctly, the "Bog of eternal stench" is from Henson's "Labyrinth" (with David Bowie), another fun-but-dated fantasy movie. ttfn, Drakonis |

Hey Tone This is epic. Great Job of production. Subtle blend of everyones talent. First time I've heard a Birdman vocal. (Sounds Great) And the guitar solo added the perfect flavoring. Double Harmonic Major? I'll have to learn that one. Very enjoyable. Regards |

Strong Anchor The instrumental performances here provide a very strong anchor for the whole song. Great folk guitar part with nice tone, mixed with some pleasant complementary harmony parts. The Oud provides an exotic touch to the arrangement and was well-conceived and played. I would agree with Drak that the loon should be more of a *suggested element* in the mix and used a bit more sparingly. The gentle vocal harmonies work very well, reminiscent of Peter, Paul and Mary. THAT... makes it pretty good stuff. Excellent collab, my friends. ;) --- Joe |

love the whole atmosphere of the song Paul! I know finally, what the rhythm reminds me of. A steam engine dashing through the blue hills of dusky wilderness, somewhere far far away. Very, but very interesting is that light touch of Middle East in that guitar solo in about middle of song and at the end. Very lovely vocal, all of them. And ADORE that howling wolf, because he makes a huge part of that magic. A truly wonderful music, every single bit of it. Huge congratulations! :) |

Exquisite! This is one of the tightest musical pieces I've heard in quite some time....Excellent use of instruments with simple lyrics that let the music do the heavy lifting....I'd like to get my hands on the people who would give this a 5 or 6 they must have has musical lobotomies. A definite download for me...Thanks...and all 10's just to make up for the musically challenged people who give low scores to a real work of art!.....So there!..... |

Enjoy the intro, the choir. Makes for a nice start, nice fingerstyle, like the coyote sound, I think it is that sound, then the wings sound. Enjoyed the singing pablastone. Very nice Anne ! So great to hear these culture sounds. Feel like I am on a nice journey out of the US and I don't have to pay plane fare. |

Balance I think this is a great song and a great arrangement. You take your sweet time with everything, the length of the choral intro, the way various elements are slowly introduced. The whole architecture is very spacious which contributes to the feeling you're trying to convey. It's not often that I see form and content of a song coming together like this. Big compliment. Now about some of your samples: the vibrato on that recorder is exceedingly irritating. Can you find a sample without vibrato? (Tellingly, when you add a second voice it has the exact same vibrato, which turns it into a grinder organ.) Two: When that oud solo start you put a wail of some eastern flute under it. I'd get rid of that. Introducing two new elements into the mix at the same time makes it sound like you are just throwing stuff together for no other reason than that you have it and feel compelled to use it. It also destroys the feeling that you have a band playing: it turns it into a bucket of samples. |

Great song.... The melody, the loping bass and the hand drum are really great... The mix, including stereo spread, is very balanced and effective... Nice job on the lyrics... And the guitar playing is perfect for the tune... I actually like the loon... The vocals are terrific. The SISTERS vocal at 'Willow would you say a prayer..." is exquisite... The only minor suggestion I'd make is that, listening over headphones, there are just a couple of spots where it seems that the lead and the backing vocals don't come in at the same time, and I might think that some very careful slicing and nudging would line up those syllables. This is very minor... Sorry it took me so long to get here. This is quite beautiful. Ed |

haunting i really like the mood of this - the instrumentation harkens thoughts of Peru. and the vocals add to the feeling - it's something about the harmonies. thanks |
