Keywords Dylan (15)Jack Johnson (6)
Description Todd Kester is the guitar player on this. Now Todd and I go back to playing in bands together. I mean way back. The eighties even. He did a cover tune of The Tubes, which is just great. Maybe with everybody's ok Ill post it somewhere someday. This song is all about just doing something different. Todd is playing his Taylor guitar. And Im playing a midi string bass and some Dylan like organ. I will be adding vocals..so look out!!! I know I know,,,the solo is mixed too loud!!!
Ill fix it on the next vesion, And Ill clean up the bass part. Maybe even play a real string bass. Lots to do with this one!!!

new post!
i loves me the new posts...
this one is reminiscent of the style my father loved to listen to, and the type of simple country and western i grew up with. very nice tones from the guitars. i liked the bass tone, only wished for more of it in the mix.. want some vocals. i will be looking forward to hearing them.

real bass
I think Im going to put real bass on this and fix the timing and sound.
Im going to add vocals and then post the song again. Seems to be a pattern with me.

Sounds like...
...you're sitting right in the room with me. Nice jammin'...your buddy, Todd, can definitely pick them strings.

My aunt had an organ like the one in your picture. Loved playing it. Very nostalgic. Looking forward to the evolution of this piece of country pie.

Hey there!
Nice. Very warm sounding. And so smoot--your bass and Todd's guitar. My suggestion to you is: more organ, and I mean bring the volume up, but also just more of it throughout the song. I imagine a really low voice like johnny cash or a high one like neil young on this. ah.

seriously sweet acoustic pickin....Wish I could jam with you guys, sounds sooo nice. Like the organ too. Man, that Todd has a nice touch.

Sounds great
Sounds great. Reminds me of the Allman Brothers' "Ramblin' Man."

Acoustic strumming is very enjoyable. Reminds me "Take It Easy" from the Doobies.

Guitar solos are well-placed and EQ'd very nicely.

Where's the organ? Oh, wait, here it comes. A pleasing setting you've got there.

Your guitar soloing is intuitive and melodic. You sound like a pro (and you probably are).

Did you...
...find it quite easy to be so predictable? Be lucky.

musichead said 382 days ago
its hard
Its hard for most to play simple...well for me atleast. The less is more thing.
I usef to get other musicians mad at me for overplaying. And playing in a jazz trio by the time I was 16 got dull to me. But yes I agree. But the song was meant to be predictable. Thanks for the listen!!!

Cool
Sounds like bluegress to me, which I love. Reminds me of Alison Krauss and Union Station or the Cox Family. The rhythm could be tighter, but I dig the guitar.

I think.....
I think the mix is not helping the timing of this.. I have a melody and words for this recorded. It does help it out a touch. Thanks for the listen!!!
