Keywords Trance (317)Psychedelic (74)Goa (11)LSP (8)
Description The artist was just about to release his new album that would define the psychedelic trance scene from then onwards. He was playing his tracks at an illegal outdoor party in a field in the middle of the nowhere. The crowd was grooving to the new tunes, in the dark with the lasers and strobes going. Someone in the crowd came up to him and from a small medicine bottle put some drops on his hand. Soon afterwards the world started to melt, and he was seeing what his music looked like in the form of streaming colours. While admiring the scenery it was then that the DAT with this tune was lost. The artist later released the album without this track and the album is still considered a must have by all people who are like pychedelic/goa trance music.
The track was found by me while out Divining and is now released on macjams for you.

dont know much but...
if i was to guess, and i'm probably wrong, josh wink. i dont know that many strictly electronic musicians though. i've always been more into industrial and those like chris vrenna, cevin key, charlie clouser, trent, kmfdm, birmingham 6, atonalis (because of macjams, thank you MJ!!!), and many others (mostly linked to industrial bands). it's a guess though.

Cheers Age
Thanks for listening and commenting. Its good that you guessed but I'm afraid you are in the wrong country and genre, but thanks for trying. Loved your LSP

Trance
I'm sure fall in deep trance listen on this one... But I can't put my finger on the album... An other hard one IF I had my old LP records left I maybe had a guess but it's zero in my head right now...hehehe

Very cool track. Bro.

Kenta

Diviner said 403 days ago
Hi Kenta
Good to see you. Yes well I thought it would be a very hard one esp for this site. I will give you a clue: He's English, now lives in Dorset, He writes mainly Psychedelic Trance tracks. You asked anybody who is into this genre and they may get it as the artist has been very produced under a few different names. This track was inspired from his first album although the some of the ideas are from Slinky Wizard by Slinky Wizard which is one of his early collab groups.

bud said 405 days ago
Wow - this is really cool
I'm too high to wager a guess but how about Paul Oakenfold? More of a producer I guess.

Diviner said 403 days ago
Hi Bud
Loved your LSP entry. You are close with the country of origin but am afraid that you are not right. Good guess though as Paul Oakenfold did play alot of psytrance early on in the genres life such as Man With No Name - Floor Essence.
Cheers for listening and commenting.

apb said 405 days ago
I read your description ..
.. and I still haven't got a scooby...

loved the mashed "somewhere over the rainbow .."

Sounds are excellent. I get the feeling when you say,
I'll still go "who?" lol. Great music all the same.

Diviner said 403 days ago
Lol , yes APB
To tell you the truth, when I tell you who it is and what album, I still have a feeling that you will say 'Who/What?'
I did choose an artist and album that I really like, that really influenced me and that not many people on this site will know. So your reaction does not surprise me. Thanks very much for listening and commenting.

Doug Somers said 405 days ago
I don't know the artists of this genre well
but I do know that this is a great piece - you clearly had fun doing it!! The real joy is in the listening tho' :)
Thanks,
Doug

Diviner said 403 days ago
Thanks Doug
You make me blush with your kind comments. Thank you. I'm glad you like it. To tell you the truth I was thinking about making a track like this and then LSP came along and gave me a direction for this track. Thanks again for listen and commenting.

craft said 405 days ago
great beat
great trance tune.. The beat keeps boucing inside my head...

Diviner said 403 days ago
Cheers Craft
Thanks for popping by and listening. Really appreciate the comment, good to see you liked it.

michael2 said 405 days ago
another
genre i don't know that much about. killer trance track though. It could be Underworld. That's going to be my official guess. I'm really liking this by the way.

Diviner said 403 days ago
Hi Micheal
Good to see you here and glad to see you liked the track as well.
I knew this would stump most people, if not all. You have to know artists who do pychedelic trance, no normal trance. Nothing commercial, but very famous in his genre.
Thanks for listening and commenting.

michael2 said 403 days ago
hmmm
"HIS" genre? is it Aphex twin?

Diviner said 403 days ago
Err, no, sorry
thanks for your interest. Maybe google psytrance artists and have a look. You are bound to get it right

said 405 days ago
Daft Punk

maybe ?
Cool sounds .

Diviner said 403 days ago
Thanks Henri
for coming round and listening to the track. The guess I'm afraid is wrong. There are some hints at my reply to Kenta. Thanks again for popping round, hope you liked the track.

biba_nova said 405 days ago
Very good stuff
I love the somewhere over the rainbow bit....it reminds me of KLF/The Orb

I know its not them...and this reminds me of someone...but I can't quite put my finger on it

Can't wait to find out

b

Diviner said 403 days ago
Thanks biba
good to see you, thanks for popping by to listen and comment. Hope you liked the track. The artist is brilliant, so this track in comparison to his stuff is pretty poor really, but it gives you an idea.

davisamerica said 405 days ago
no clue yet
but i like it enough to keep trying to figure it out!

Diviner said 399 days ago
Cheers davisamerica
I'm well pleased that you like the track. To tell you the truth I'm pleased to have put it together. Thanks for coming round to listen and comment.

peacepiano said 404 days ago
Somewhere
You get my vote for beat and use of famous song :)

We need to get some other trance fans giving more clues about the artist though. Sounds excellent.

Thanks
Bill

Diviner said 399 days ago
Thank you Bill
its great to see you. Thank you for listening and commenting. I knew when I submitted this track that most people are not going to know who it is, but glad you like the track anyway.

lengold said 404 days ago
Don't know
anything about trance music Keith to even hazard a guess, but this is a great track.
Cheers
Len

Diviner said 399 days ago
Don't worry Len
its great to see you and I'm really pleased that you like the track. Thanks for coming round to listen and comment. Appreciated.

thanks

Diviner said 399 days ago
Nice try
but not right I'm afraid. Thanks for coming round to listen and comment. Glad you liked it. Good to see you.

said 404 days ago
Stumped...
One synth line kinda reminded me of KMFDM, but I know that's way off. (I'm not good at this guessing game, haha) Cool track, tho and will be added to my collection!

Diviner said 399 days ago
Your Right!
You are way off, it is not KMFDM. LOL. Thanks for listening and commenting, I'm thrilled that you liked it enough to download it for your collection. Cheers.

Vic Holman said 404 days ago
I couldn't tell ya
I know it's not Judy Garland though :-) not what i tend to listen to. But, I really enjoyed listening. Excellent composition.

that's what's great about this LSP. you hear songs you normally wouldn't tune into.

Diviner said 399 days ago
Thanks Vic
Really appreciate you listening to the track, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes these projects are brilliant for listening and appreciating tracks you would not normally listen to. Thanks for listening, commenting and hope to see you again.

Aphex Twin
For sure or Future Sound of London. Or 808 state...hahahahaha. There is this cricket sound that made me think of Aphex Twin. But The Female voice and the acid-line and such more or less put it in the FSOL genre. But since it is too fast for a FSOL track I go for 808 state. A very professional track, a first in some sense. You know I like all of your stuff, but it seems way more relaxed in built-up than the others. Cleaner too. A very nice track indeed, and to be honest one of my favs of yours. Wicked my friend named Keith. hihihih
Love, Marc

Diviner said 399 days ago
Hey JB
You have the right country but the wrong artists, however thanks very much for you very positive praise of the track I have submitted. Thanks for listening and commenting, it is always appreciated. I am so happy that you like it very much. I will let you know in good time. Thanks once again my friend.

said 403 days ago
Love This
...but I'm out of my backyard on genres here, unfortunately. At times it reminds me of Christopher Franke, but that's just my years of watching Babylon 5 sneaking in.

Excellent ride, tense and mysterious and moody. Very cool sound!

Diviner said 398 days ago
Babylon 5 was brilliant
I loved that whole series. Thanks for listening and commenting, as long as you liked the track it does not matter if you do not know. However when I reveal who it is, I strongly recommend you listen to his tracks. Cheers once again.

ginz111 said 403 days ago
nice
nice tune

good work

Diviner said 398 days ago
Thanks Ginz111
I'm glad you liked it. Hope it got your toe tapping and your hips moving. Thanks for listening and commenting.

vbluesky said 403 days ago
trippy
love the groove, am on something and it just gets better with eachhhh listen........everything is time lapsed, I like the description/story, it reminds me of the time when I was younger and living in NYC,I was at the Arena club and Larry Tee was DJing, he was tripping on LSP and froze, some how scratching the record which played like a loop for 10min he came too and mixed fabulous songs all night.....thanx 4 the jam...BlueSky

Diviner said 398 days ago
Wow, thanks BlueSky
I'm very pleased that you pooping by, listened and enjoyed the track. Thanks for commenting esp the flashback. I really enjoyed making the track, so I'm pleased when it goes down well. Thanks again.

Rebsie said 402 days ago
Um ...
My knowledge of the genre is zero so I can't say anything intelligent ... just letting you know I dropped by for a listen anyway. :)

Diviner said 398 days ago
Thanks for popping round
It is appreciated that you come round to listen, I hope you liked it. Even though its not what you normally listen to, I am pleased to see that you are here. Thanks Rebsie.

perceptualvortex said 400 days ago
I don't know
But it sounds a lot like Juno Reactor and BT. Maybe BT, from Movement in Still Life.

perceptualvortex said 400 days ago
And
I meant to mention that this song really kicks ass. And that it could also be Banco De Gaia.

Diviner said 398 days ago
ooh ohh you are sooo close
with Juno Reactor, that is the right genre. Interesting guesses. It looks like you enjoyed the track, which is good. Thanks for coming round to listen and comment. Appreciated.

LSP is making the world melt
This is another one of those 'I don't know songs' but loved it from beginning to end!

Diviner said 398 days ago
Hee hee
When I did this track I knew nobody would get it. Its hard to emulate some of this lost song artist because the production and skill of some of his tracks is so hard to do. Glad to see enjoyed it and thanks for popping round to listen and comment. All will be revealed tomorrow. :-)

Peter Bauckham said 397 days ago
I've tried
but I really haven't a clue. I'm not really up on trance but it sounds very well done.

Peter

Diviner said 368 days ago
Thanks for listening
and commenting anyway Peter. I have posted the answer, and so really recommend the artist he has made some great tracks. Thanks again.

MKVX said 380 days ago
Nice
Better and better every time. Sometimes it passes into "not of this world" mode where it no longer becomes physical and passes into the psychic world of mental acoustics. I like this. amazing.

Diviner said 368 days ago
Brilliant
I am so glad that one of the tracks I have done has that reaction on you. Thats exactly what I'm trying to acheive. I'm really gald you like it. Thanks very much for listening and commenting. The answer to the artist its suppose to sound like is on the lost songs project, I really, really recommend you listen to the artist known as 'Hallucinogen'.

said 330 days ago
Wow again !!

Hi Diviner !

I am getting ready now got me glad rags on and am just getting in this groovy groove I just know that this music of your gets me wanting to go out dancing. so its definitely done its job. Well done, another great hypnotic beat that draws you in deeper and deeper onto another planet. Mines usually cloud cuckoo land. ha ha .
Peace
Dee.

I don't know what this LSP thing is and I don't know my trance artists - but I LOVE this piece. It's brilliant - accomplishing exactly what trance is supposed to. It totally made me zone out, while keeping my toe tapping and hips moving. The freaky judy garland at the end was just awesome. Thanks for this...definitely is a top-rate mix you put together here.
