Something's weird tonight - I had to download this to listen. Glad I did. This is one twisted puppy song. Very cool - lost song or not. Remember - LSP can be like interpretive dance - no rules. Man I did the guitar thing in the break. Cool. |

- How I emphasize with this song.Keep kiddin meself that I've made it now I dont have to join the ratrace on a monday morning being self employed. But then I remember I'm up to eyeballs in debt.'yay!' You certainly know how to get your point across!.That guitar solo in the middle is reallly spooked - sounds like a drunk plasticine woman trying to sing bhangra. Subliminerly catchy.(I'll look up the spelling for that word another day) Cheers - RG |

Ooh me head I swear your songs get weirder each time ... you've put together an imaginative combination of instruments and rhythmic oddities to make something really unique. I like the way you sing about the money with such enthusiasm. ;) Great style. |

I really like it I can see the way the Beatles influence came in. This is probably one of your best tracks that you have submitted. I thoroughly enjoyed this track, the music was brilliant and it suited your voice and of course the lyrics are very good and always raise a smile. Very Cool track Len. In fact I will stick my neck out and say it is your best track. |

Melting Quirky, yah that's the word. This is weird but grows on me as I listen. A lot of it reminds me of Adrian Belew, say, from Twang Bar King. It also has a bit of a 'chanting while I fall asleep' sound, with that Cowboy Junkies languid vibe. I like it. |

Ominous Ominous and humorous. The vocals are overbearing, in a musical sort of way. The weird keyboard parts, with their various panning and filter effects, are very cool. |

creativity You tend to make these ear catchers with your unique sounds. Reminded a bit of strawberry fields with some of those sounds. This was fun to listen too. Hey, if you win big, I mean really big. All the Macjammers will suddenly even become friendlier. I'll be in that line. |

lugubrious Man, those are some weird vocals, especially over that happy organ. Interesting. But in a good way. |

Big Music You really do have such a marvelous imagination. I don't think there's a single one of your songs I've ever heard that I've come out the other side thinking, "Well, that was predictable." Usually, I'm scratching my head wondering how you kept it so original yet familiar and easy to listen to and enjoy. How do you do it, Len? Tell us! I just love the way this swings. |

.. this is very cool .. .. you can hear the touch of Strawberry Fields in the keys ..the melody of the "not so much to ask" bobbing up and down also has a Beatles air to it..trippy and psychedelic overall, ambitious to try a missing Sgt.Pepper song .. The lead guitar is awesome if a little short. I liked though how this still retained very much "Len" in more ways than just the vocals. (I think some deep cellos or brass might doing some runs might just have pulled it to The Beatlens rather than the Lenles if you wanted to drive it more that way and perhaps some more higher oo ahh harmonies) .. but I really enjoyed this result. Lyrics deliver a simple message: easy to empathise with and relate to, thus pleasing to the masses. I thought a 'shatter the illusion' verse at the end, back to a bleaker reality wouldn't have been out of place... and I'd have switched "I" to "She" and "he" in different verses.. perhaps ending with "we". :o) |

very interesting i missed this when you posted it last week. gotta say, this is pretty friggin genius. i wish i had written this song. all of the sounds are perfect for the vibe, and they really support the song. i'm getting more David Bowie Scary Monsters than the Beatles, but I think that could be the vocals. Really nice though. |

Good Idea The idea for the song is great. Win big money, all your problems go away. Great production and sardonic reading on the lyrics. |

Hum... You're a genius! Excellence on all levels that I can hear! You've become one of those artist that I get excited to know, that you've got something new to share! This tune is so cool, Len! I'm really impressed w/ your musicianship and mostly, your ability to compose a piece that demands that one should really attempt to TRY and know, how the hell did ya come to be able to even imagine, "how did he ever think to, do that"... It's so cool that you've chosen to reside here at MJS. Makes a person feel, kinda special. Thanks! Dion |

buddy Can you spare a dime? Honest, funny, wacky and pathetically unpredictable. What more would I expect from a Lengold classic? There are some truly WEIRD sounds in this. I particularly like the the hand tin can guitar case tapping percussion bits, that, and the really sicko guitar leads. Philip |

I'm typing this... ...from my yacht on the Caribbean. I've just finished my 20th pina colada and have to tell ya: It ain't what it's cracked up to be, len... The pina colada, that is... Sorry I missed this...great tune, man. |

a Beatles parody started, cos of the way you play that m-tron (and they did use the hardware version in strawberry fields). This song made me smile even more cos it has that Lennon like protest vibe oozing through, well I felt the cynicism that way. I enjoyed the panning of the drums (and the drums of course) and the organic feel. Nice organ playing and I just dig that lethargic voice. Who is on second voice? Jop, again I seem to enjoy my late hours more with these laid back tunes.
Thanks for sharing, Jb
