What a lovely song. Mandolin sounds great and your voice has that authentic old sounding blues feel. Superb. Cheers Len |

That's just lovely Feter... has a country sound to me and the Mandolin playing is great. Nice melody and words, though I would have liked you to post the words, regards M |

Gentle.... ...music for the stars and the moon...a tale to tell and a message from the heart. It is so nice to hear music that relies only on itself for its power to move the heart. ... I do like your style, but wish I had the lyrics as I could hear the words clearly enough. (Maybe I have been listening too loudly for too long. Who knows?)...Since this is sort of a troubador song, would you consider lengthing it a little? Glad I had the chance to hear another side of your growing collection of unique compositions. Peace. Paul |

Full of emotion - and very heartfelt. The combination of mandolin and your deep voice is nice, but I can hear that additional instruments would fill it out beautifully. Your voice is a bit muffled, which might make it hard for someone to use this version for adding instruments. As it is, I can imagine this as a field recording of a man sitting on his front porch in the mountains, singing an old folk song by himself. Lots of sadness in this song, but also hope. |

Very fine .. .. you make that mandolin playing sound easy .. which it is not .. darn tiny little instrument :o) Another song in which you excel at pouring emotion into it and with excellent results, as I'd expect. Kudos. |

Something familiar... Cool song. The chord progression sounds slightly reminiscent of "Dead Flowers" from the Sticky Fingers album by the Rolling Stones. (Which is a big compliment) :-) I really love the tradional folk melodies that you use. Really beautiful. |

old fashioned gem Nice tune. Creates an image for me of the ole troubadour in the old Wild West, sitting in a chair in front of the local Saloon/hotel on those old wooden planked walkways with a spittoon next to you for them tobbacco globs. Ladies in corsetts giving you pleasant nods and the men dropping silver dollars into your black felt derby. And of course, it's a nice sunny day. |

again very fragile without being a lollipop or cheap tearjerker. I see this being performed in a nice but rough landscape, bathing in the evening sun. |

So beautiful,... Feter, this is so beautiful, very soothing and tranquilizing. The mandolin is gorgeous, so is the singing. I am loving. Great words too Feter, you are quite a poet. |

Sounds very sweet Feter You have a unique talent for saying things in a warm and subtle way. Now we need to add some musical background to it. I make no promises But I'll see what I can do my friend. Thanks for posting this Feter Ed |

Sniff sniff A very melancholy song, made all the more poignant by the use of just that mandolin. Very *snif* *sniff* touching. Seriously, this has a feel as if it's a song thas has existed for centuries, and was passed down through the generations. If this is an original, it's really good. |

Classic! Feter man you just never cease to amaze. This could have been written over a hundred years ago, but it is your original. I would tell you that you are a great folk singer/songwriter, but you do so many things well its hard to classify you. It says this is a collaboration. How do people collaborate on music here. I'd certainly like to take a try at this one. I grew up listening to folk music. |
