Description Follow-up-in-progress to "Just Not Right".

Not quite happy with it, and i think it needs bass, and something more like the chimes on the other song... making this is a "first draft" eh?
Lyrics I listened far too long
to warrant caution signs
Don't worry about this song -
I haven't lost my mind.

Suppose I really am
an angel after all.
All the good I've done,
I could have let you fall!

I've created worlds alone
brought them to their feet
I would give them all to you
but there is not enough to see.

There are signs I will not read,
roads I can not choose.
Bones that I can't break
Powers not affordable to use.

Nice tune
good singing - I like the contrast with the dry and slightly more processed vox - and the melody is catchy.

And I know what you mean, people always call me angel as well ;-) Not yet, I tell them - but maybe I am an angel after all...

Looking forward to the next mix.

Good Tune
You may want to look up old Tom Tom Club recordings. They feature Tina Weymouth from the Talking heads. She is a great bass player and the music is close to the style you have here.

I really like the vocals (lyrics too)! Generally full/rich feel.

Well done!

Haven't heard the other versions but I love the chorus where all the harmonies come in - is really unusual and original. What a sweet voice you have! Unusual chords - quite a fascinating creation.Sounds like it might benefit from a guitar somewhere, but hmm I'm gonna listen again, such was your delivery and deep but simple lyrics

Cheers - RG

Brilliance!
I didn't know that MJ had 'Pop (alternative)' category until now but with its pop/dance beat, infectious chorus and quirky sweetly perturbing lyrics this song fits it perfectly! Highly original and imaginative work - and it's great to hear you singing again.

Cool
tune. The vox sound really good. It will be intersting to hear what the bass will sound like.

Frank.

thoughts from the bull...
i was just listening to JUST NOT RIGHT at home, and realized I haven't stopped by in a while.

for me, this is a real treat - what a great follow up to NJR.

this is a venture in a different direction, but with that comes the satisfaction of your vocal arrangement.

well done! and thank you!
