Description I put this together along with an Idea for lyrics. Anne and Marty (the Sisters) put their golden voices to the lyrics and came up with these outstanding harmonies that made this better than I could have ever dreamed it could be. I hope you like it. BTW...I think the Sisters are the greatest
Lyrics Let the rains of love come falling down
Let the rains of love cover all the ground
Let it wash your eyes so that you can see
How the power of love can set you free.

(bridge)

Use the rains of love to wash your hands
Then reach out to help your fellow man
Let the rains of love cleanse your mind
Leave your fears and hatred far behind.

(bridge)

Let the rains of love flow into your heart
So that deep inside the loving starts
Let the rains of love wash into your soul
Let it wash you clean and make you whole

Always a pleasure
to have you stop by my pieces. Thanks for adding this to your faves list. I can't take much credit for this 'cause the sisters took it to the higher level with their incredible work.

credit
bill, a girl can't sing unless she's got some excellent music to hang her vocals on - and you've given us that on both occasions with your beautifully dynamic and totally unique music. you've got a knack for lyrics, too! i really enjoyed this majestic message of yours. thank you so mucy for letting us be part of it, anne

Tight
I like your tight arrangements. This is a new context for the Sister's voices, and it sounds really cool. Very cool collab.

Thanks
Bill

Thanks for the visit
I worked pretty hard on this arrangement and I am glad you think the work paid off. I really like the way the sisters can seem to fit into a lot of different genres and settings. A testament to their abilities. Here I wanted to have the background vocals sound almost "rainy" and the sisters harmonies fit that approach perfectly.

great collab
you both deserve credit, this is such a grovvin song I must listen several times, Sisters voice's and the musical textures on this song reminds me of Annie Lennox's Diva CD, which is one of my fav AN cd's. Thanks 4 the song and again excellent work by all involved.

Thank YOU
Any time someone says that they have listened more than once it is a great compliment to me and I really appreciate it. Time is a valuable thing and to have you spend your time listening more than once means a lot to me.
Thanks for the kind words.

Well constructed
Great beat, fabulous harmonies, well produced like the wah sounds on the guitar and the weird effects.Original track! Cheers - RG

Thank you, Paddler
Thanks for your visit and thanks for leaving a comment and listing this on your faves list. About the weird effects: I really tried to get a "rain falling down and settling in your soul' feel to the second bridge that leads into the payoff line. It is a little strange but I like the feel that it gives to the lead up to the climax of the song.

You
Always get some fanytastic sounds and this is great... very exotic sounding. Love that rhythm... reminds me of people sat on the backs of Elephants as they slowly amble through the Rainforest or Jungle... I always get nice images from your music don't I LOL?, regards M

Rainforest?
I guess that fits with the idea of the "rains of love". Thanks for the visit and the comments. This is really one of my favorite pieces 'cause it worked out so well with the sisters contribution.

I'm still working on the elephants part however

Very evocative
The mood of this one is definitely set by the great vocals. Them gals sure can sing! The peice is cool even instrumentally, but complete with the vocal for sure. The invitation is in the lyric and it is very gentle, like chant, but just as insistant. Even if you are determined to resist, in the end you are part of the song. Very nice.

Thank you very very much
I'm really appreciative of your comments and I am really glad you like it. And yes the Sisters can really sing.

Yes the sisters can sing
I have had the honor to work with them twice and both times consider myself truly fortunate to have been able to collaborate with them. They can take my modest ideas and create true magic. I can only imagine how thrilled someone who has true talent must feel when the sisters apply that magic to one of THEIR songs.

wOw!!
I haven't visited MacJams for a long time, and I'm sorry I haven't...I've been missing out on the fantastic growth of SISTERS! I'm a devoted fan of "Night Flight" and "Smash The Mirror", and am blown away by the incredibly professional sound they've acheived! Their voices are more gorgeous than ever, and with the addition of such powerful music, all I can say is "wOw!!"

thanks so much
I'm glad you decided to stop by and listen. I too am great fans of the sisters and miss them on MacJams. I am still trying to come up with another they can collaborate on with me. Have you heard the cut "when I look into your eyes"?
