Boogie On Down This takes me back to some of the great instrumentals we used to expect from Ramsey Lewis, and perhaps Booker T & The MGs. The distorted bass wears on my ears after a short while, but I guess gives it a more modern sound. It's a great rockin' boogie number with lots of great keyboard work. Nice chops. ;) --- Joe |

I'm putting this one on the desktop... So I can jam along from time to time to shake it on out when I'm taking life too seriously... Reminds me of Traffic tunes like 'Glad', with the B3 and piano combined on one track with a throbby bass line... Booker T., too, I suppose, but I think more the English end of things... It's nice hearing the percussion/drum break... Ed |

The piano work here is so much better than the backing. Especially the rock'n rolly parts, like the one in the middle. Those are just great. If I would ever have a piano player in my band you'd be the first one I'd ask.
