cool i can see the Booker T comparison, and i'm also gonna put my vote in for a rhodes (or an organ at some point). |

Great I think if the timing is off, it just adds to your charm. I like the groovin line. I think you will need to sing. I hear something really soulful in here. Some heartfelt lyrics. I like your use of music box/windchime sounds with the bluesy strings. Keep it up! I can't wait to hear what you do with this. |

made a fan of me this is a mighty fine tune. i actually tend to prefer recordings where some artistic license is taken with regards to timing (and/or chords). this one has such a groove to it, that most of your "timing issues" just enhance the grooviness. i do have to admit, tho, that i was distracted by the timing maybe a couple times after repeated listens--but i doubt that would have been the case had i not been listening for it. however, i do think the mallet percussion might be a little too strong, and tends to take the emphasis from your fenders (which, in my opinion sould take more of the focus). vocals would be nice. in my mind, i'm hearing a Nick Cave-type bluesy grumble, rather than anything along the lines of JJ. cheerz, -=ez (oh, and speaking of JJ, he happened to be 2 years my senior in college, and was briefly a co-worker of mine on campus). |

One of .. my favourite musichead beds .. lots to like here .. a more advanced demo .. showing how different ideas you had work together. I love the mallets/vibs/glocks, all the guitars and the groove- as an instrumental it has one of those soundtrack to a 60's spoof/bond thing.. if the lead actor had ever been associated with Westerns .. "in like Flint" or something ..a scene where he's creeping about, trying to remain undetected ..that start stop thing gives me that impression .. only idea is to make the ending stop after just 8 stabs: 1,2,3,4 - 5,6,7,8 .. and add some "Grand Canyon" reverb to the last one so it fades out. No ideas for a singing melody struck me .. but I see your on your way yourself, looking forward to the vocal version. |

Ihaaa Great country feel in here. Cool guitar hook. That jazz bass sounds warm and good. The ending gave me a "The Shadows" feeling. Maybe just a "Hank Marvin" solo on top would seal the deal? |

An Omen... Great song here. Sounds really spooky like you say. But I also hear some "dusty dirt road through the desert in a 57 porsche convertible" kinda thang, but that's just me... |

A song done along these lines would be a nice change. The basic structure is sound, fun even. I'll be listening for updates :)
Thanks
