wow this is excellent. your voice(s) are without a doubt always way above the bar the rest of us struggle to reach, but the melody and the lyrics and the way that you just made this song your own is inspiring (to say the least). you did a great job. |

A wee in awe here! First of all, great job guys! This is so dark it's light, man. I never know what to expect when I get one of those new song emails from you...you...you...you (actually, MJ's) Production is T-I-G-H-T and everything else is outta sight! Kudos fellers. Ax |

Super good Very impressive singing, seems to mesh with the music perfectly... as if the music were another aspect of your voice. |

falsetto Steve, I can't say I have evr heard you explore your falsetto register so much or so well. Bida's movingly dark and acerbic musiccal bed lends itself to this dense quilt of tender lyrical pathos. I have to say I didn't want it to end. But I always appreciate being left wanting more than having to sit through 2 minutes of repeating stanzas and choruses which is sometime the case here on MJ (but not in this song happily) (and I do not exempt myself from that criticism I am sad to say). I really love this track, and I can learn from it. |

Steve - this is a great collab You really took this and ran with it - pushing your vocals and writing to a really exciting new high. It's been great hearing all the collabs happening these days and being lucky enough to work with some truly gifted people here. You and Biba made some real magic. |

I agree with all thats been said, very nice collab and your vocals are artistically sung, inspires my juices, paints a image of Peter Murphy and Marc Almond collabing.... |

Another level and I'm missing the rungs on the ladder to get anywhere near it. Exquisite work, simply exquisite. Cheers Dick |

Fabulous Really doesn't sound like a song added to an existing track. It's beautifully and deeply integrated. Hits the spot perfectly with smoothness and emotional punch. The 'What doesn't kill you' sections are superb ... that high plaintive two-part harmony is so powerful. |

Steve This is breathtakingly good. I love Biba Nova's moody track. The falsetto voices are very striking, moving and lift the song into a very special realm. The poetic lyrics as always also fit perfectly. This is a very important song. Cheers Len |

sublimely vocalised I know well enough from my collabs with atonaliS how difficult it is to vocalise 'special' tracks like this. You did a splendid job. And what's more: it has such a relax feel as if you did it without any effort. That's high class, Steve. Brilliant, that's all I can say. -Walt |

Not much to add Steve you're in great voice - superb harmony vocals and really nicely mixed. Great gloomy backdrop - works a treat. Sorry to hear your wrists playing up - been having similar problems. All the best Peter |

Awesome take I put some lyrics to the song as well and sent them to biba to let him have his way with my words. I'm already impressed with the track itself and your lyrics go well with it. Very strong and emotinal with a poetic attribute to it. Well done. |

Rock n roll Lifestyle Destroys Peaceful Community It didn't take long for you to reclaim your old habits. Drinking, smoking, cursing like a sailor.... Next you'll start wearing a safety pin in your nose. What has this world come to when the nicest guy ever goes to the Dark Side? Funny. Everyone seems to like the Bad Steve, especially young girls "forced" to wear sailor suits and tap dance. This is a real dark and moody song. Nice work biba! I love what you did here. And Steve, you did some pretty amazing stuff with this song. It's refreshing to see you reach out and try something completely alien and outside of your comfort zone. Somehow, in your falsetto, it's almost sweet, like when your 4 year drops the "F bomb" in front of your family. I can't wait to hear you swearing in our first collab one day! |

can I fave twice? Wow. the harmonies of voices, the whole thing is like the soundtracks to those movies that change your life. I wish I could make music like that. It's a song I'd need to listen to in the dark. The first verse and the refrain are the heart of this song to me. |

Jesus Really good. The harmonies at "it's all too late for me...." are jaw-dropping: rich, hair-raising, transcendent, and what I like most about music. Thank you. |

thinking of blade runner can't help thinking of blade runner visuals as i listen to this. i have been a silent admirer of bibanova's sound, which strikes me as always deep and brooding, crisp and ominous. Steve's lyrics and voice just added another layer of mysticism to his music. loved the harmonies, too! this is awesome guys! not coming here as often as i used to but great songs like this make it worth the precious time spent on here. |

Wow Thank you all for the comments on this song. You all may or may not be aware that (for me) this is part of a fascination with a particular chord sequence and melody which first came to life just over a year ago as SISCOM GURU. In the intervening months I have enlisted the contributions of many people and the song seems to regenerate itself and mutate into a new form every few months. Steve's vocals and lyrical content took it into a new realm which was unexpected for me but entirely appropriate for the modern baroque/gothic feel that the music conveys. Disturbing, experimental yet unable to stop singing it...who could ask for a better accolade? Steve - great vocals on this Totally complimentary AND enhancing to the music. I would love to work with you on more stuff in the future and get you sucked in even deeper into 'the process' - thus far you have only experienced the tip of the iceberg and although even this may have been a bit out of your comfort zone, I am so glad you went with your gut feeling and came up with this great contribution. You are now officially a part of continuing SISCOM saga - welcome! If anyone is interested, please let me ask you to stop by and listen to the earlier versions which can be found here SISCOM GURU EVP Series #2 Time Slowed and Gradually Came to a Stop Like Worshipped Chicago Dogs The Ugly Dog Prophecies In addition, I have 2 further versions in the pipeline which will be showing in the near future, one from Spitlogic the other from Choirbox. Also, if anyone else wants to add any extra elements into this vibrant mix, please contact me bryn |

Excellent stuff Steve & Bryn Sorry I'm late, but I've been away for a while. This is a really classy tune - amazing vocals Steve. I haven't reached the end as I write, and I'm hoping for a take off into screaming guitars - oh well, didn't happen :( To me there's room for a full verse of a crescendo of whirlpool guitars at the end, pushing further and further into the weirdness, but maybe not :) Excellent post! Depeche Mood the dark electronic music reminds me- as a genre more than in sound- of Dave Gahan's lowlife confessions, but the lyrics are way better. No comment on that wrist strain... |

Fantastic vocals .. ..hats off .. overall with the downbeat, darkness .. and the lower register singing style, I hear a 'moorlandt' influence myself .. or I could hear Walter doing the lower parts leaving you free to do the higher bits. Always late to the party .. need to sort my email notification on your uploads Steve *doh* Who cares what age you are .. you do great music, that's what counts. |

stunning knock out work here (why am I not the least bit surprised). Steve, man oh man, you really shine here bud. Not only was I impressed by your lead vocal but your backing vocals were stunning. You really had a great tune to work with from Biba Nova. Amazing work! off to the ipod (like all of your songs) it goes |

Impressive proof of your big range and "compatibility" with electronical music. Btw.: I'm still busy with the motorcycle girl (she won't be the same, when I'm done with her). |

Chi-TOwn REpresent Well done, the layered voices sound really nice. Overall ambiance is pretty creepy. 11th hour in ChiTown. The lyrics don't mention Chicago so I wondered why it includes Chicago? Anyway, really like the track; keep it up. |

Those vocals fit in perfectly with Biba Nova's track. I really enjoyed the lyrics, too. Outstanding job with this!
