Description A love song!
A collab between fdumptch
Lyrics OH they tell me I’m naïve
OH they tell me I’m naïve

But I aint gonna fall for that!

Who do you think you are kidding
When you look into my eyes

Who do you think you are kidding?
I aint falling for your liess

No I aint gonna fall for that!
Who do you think your kidding?

I know that I let you lie to me
I know that I closed my eyes
BUT I AIN"T GONNA FALL FOR THAT!

You think u know me
You think u can tell

You think that you knew me
WELL LET ME TELL YOU
There aint no cure for that!!!

You think but you don know
You take evrything
But you don’t give back
You give nothing back!

Dismantle the shrine......

punky
Is good. Add funky and it even gets better:-D. You seem to have melted both genres :-). Although low-tech punk somewhere seems to have the upperhand, I liked that. Good show by the both of you, Fdumptch (what a stagename btw...) good one bro!

Jo and the CyberPunkettes
Good band name?

Music like a high torque drill, twisting irreversibly into my brain, I feel my grip on reality slowly being drained as I listen, and I just want more... eek! Is there really no cure for that? Gritty sensual singing. Cool music bed.

what a sound. this is awesome. everything sounds so good, and it's such a great song. so memorable. all of the parts are perfect. great job.

apb said 471 days ago
Wicked!

.. in a 'Garbage' mixed with 'Republica' vain...yet different too.

Fabulous gritty down beat electronica .. effectual sounds used extremely well..and on the vocals too..definite commercial, accessible sound.

Great collab Jo, fdumptch - love it, plenty @!@ ;o)

thoddi said 471 days ago
loved it
A love song to love:) Great vibe. I think this sounded pretty professional. The attitude is determined, and you sound confident about your singing.
Creative groove with tasteful choices of effects.

hey Jo
What an earcandy! Tight as a string. Listening for the second time... This is great stuff, Jo. It's been too long that I popped in.

All
your own (well both of you) but you know what I mean and as always so creative and original. Great beat and sounds and as always the great vocals that tie it all together. Real 'edgy', M

Like it, Love it, Want more
Wow, as soon as I saw the e-mail alert I came over straight away, and I'm glad I did. This is a rockin' track, lovely dark beats and great synth play. The vocals sounds quite angry for a love song, but they work really well with the music. Great track, good collab :-)

OK
Love song was a bit tongue in cheek...

but hey.... romance was there once!!

Can't stop
the head bob'n... great edgy driving industrial conveyor-belt ACME can-stamp'n beat, if you catch my drift. A real sonic treat!

racerat said 471 days ago
PJ
Certainly a Garbage vibe and a little more than gritty PJ Harvey "A Perfect Day Elise" kind of groove with a MUCH better mix. The beat is excellent, sweet distortion come release me!

P

Itis nice work!
I really dig your voice and the complexity of this song! Kind of reminds me a little of Korn for some reason. Killer use of FX and a solid production! I apologize for not stopping by sooner.

Mmmmm
Very tasty indeed. Great vocal (but up in the mix a bit next time please) - there's losts going on with the vocals which on the whole is good (the cross over of clean with the distorted) and the performance is really gutsy. Occasionally I think they get a bit (only a bit, mind) muddled in the mix.

The track is rocking, and grooving and dark and pulsing and altogether pretty damn fine to my ears.

More please -
Phil

Grrr!
For the growl in your voice, and for Grrreat work on both parts. Invigorating, rowdy, dangerous. Keep up the fantastic work!
Peace

I was hooked from the first bar
great collab. I really like the levels of vocals to music and the distortion effects are really well tuned. Excellent vox and lyrics too.

damiengh said 470 days ago
Love the drive
This one was well put together. Love it's drive and didn't want it to stop so soon.

More, more.......

The voice and the music went so hand in hand.

Got me moved.

Although...
... the vocal style, attitude and message inflect an "alternative" cohesiveness, yet the genre appears more with an "electronica" beat and sound. The vocals seem way over processed and extremely low in the mix. A deviation or sonic 180 will create a refreshing twist. Sometimes "less is more" in certain areasThe length could be extended with a distinct chorus applying variations of theme and sonic soundbed. The elements are here, but the end product falls short.

Had I produced this, the current ending would surprize the listener with dead silence, THEN a reiteration of the driving theme with much more attitude. And then an ending that has the intention of "So THERE!"

My overall rating would be "better than average." Simply not enough substance to emote, or evoke totality.

kickin' vocal. original and nutty. bjork with NIN style beats, a dash of pink floyd psychedelia, a helping of Korn and Limp B - and the grit of Alanis and Blondie. cool.
