Hey thanks for the visit
I try not to repeat myself and try to let the riffs and the "moment" take the song where IT wants to go. I'm glad you appreciate them.

sauve groov
I imagine that you married that girl and are now on cloud 1000...nice production/mix, it has a live feel at parts and the upright bass is felt at gut level....nice sound

Whew ... what nice comments
I'm really glad that you appreciate the effort I put into trying to put "life" into these pieces. It is always a goal of mine to keep things interesting and a bit unpredictable in my pieces as if they are "live". Sometimes I do better than at other times, but I find it works best for me when I use simpler instrumentation and try to emulate a small combo.

Thanks for the listing on your faves list.

I Like
The nice easy sauntering (good word that LOL) beat on this. It has a sexy smooth feel and the light guitar sounds combined with that warm bass add to that; but clouds are like that aren't they? Very cool and floaty smooth, Lovely for relaxation this, regards M

Clouds ARE like that
Clouds are coolest when they are not dark. But, then again, the dark clouds bring us the rains of love. (See the song on my page with THAT name).

upright
of the Gods. Thats one big stand up bass. Super groovin line and the guitar work just floats over the rythym section. Sweet

I appreciate the comment
It seems everyone is mentioning the bass sound on this song. I thought perhaps I went a little overboard but I left it the way that it was 'cause I liked it. I wanted to get the bass to sound as if the mic was almost INSIDE the instrument and inside the head of the person who was walking on Cloud 39. I guess I achieved that goal. Thanks for the visit.

Very smooth!
That must have been some kiss, Bill! The guitar loop is familiar
, however, you used it in a way I never thought of. Nice work and excellent production. I liked this much! Kudos,

Ax

Thanks for the visit
You recognized the single guitar loop that I (without mercy) sliced and diced to try to make it "my own" for this song. I make no apologies for that and readily admit to having no musical skills beyond my ability to edit well. I consider the way I work to be similar to the way a collage artist works in the visual medium, i.e. I take "found objects" and use them in a new way to try to come up with a new piece.

I've got a "grand" ear!
You did an exceptional job crafting this piece, Bill! You do what you do very well my friend. I have a "phonographic" memory, I just wish I had a photographic one as well ;-P I'm impressed with your composing skills! I just don't add anybody to my" favorites" you know.

Comment appreciated
I'm always overwhelmed by comments from people who feature pictures of themselves with instruments on their pages. 'cause I envy those with real skills to play music. :)

And it means even more from someone with a left handed guitar shown on his page ;)

Sorry to disappoint you!
<img src="http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e37/automanic/th_MyStudio.jpg" border="0"/>

My guitar is actually "right handed; Apparently I photoshop left handed ;-P My apologies, Bill.

Ah, well
Right or left handed you sure know how to grind that ax.

Smooth
I like that deep, fat bassline keeping a smooth & relaxing rhythm to this. I would have guessed that either you played that guitar, or had a friend stop by for some recording. Very nice job arranging all of this! The production sounds really sweet too.

I'm glad you liked it.
thanks for the visit and the comments. I try my best to fool all of the people all of the time. ;)
