Fae faux-trot Can't beat magical woods ... I've spent a lot of time in magical woods over the years, both in the physical world and in my head. I know nothing about classical music so I can't say anything intelligent about your compositional and arrangement skills except that it sounds really nice! Great melodies interweaving, and the delicate bells contrast beautifully with the deep dark cello. I reckon if I went into a magical wood with this on my iPod I'd be straight down the well of vision and into the world of faery. Wheeeeee! |

I'm with Rebsie! As far as magical woods and classical music go. I was getting a mix of Nutcracker Suite and Hansel and Gretel :) Some lovely, thoughtful sounds Eduard, and an incredible ear for detail. This is really enjoyable listening. "Faux-trot" - now THAT's funny! Excellent piece! Neil |

Dancylvania plus plus Yes, this is truly enchanting and the instrumentss complement each other very well. It weaves between minor and major, drawing us deeper into the Black Forest Dance. I love the little bells that add lightness and mystery. At the end, the Forest "wins," which is the perfect ending. As usual, your attention to deatail really shows in the quality of your work. I'll be humming this all day. :-) |

Fireflies I don't know if they have fireflies in the Black Forest (if they did, maybe it wouldn't be so black), but this reminds me of watching fireflies dancing around in the dusk. An excellent work. I hear what you're saying about it kind of straining against the 4/4 time, but that gives it such an interesting feel. It gives an energy to the melody. Almost as if it just wants to break loose and dance across the meadow. A wonderful, wonderful piece of work, dragon man! |

Love the 'Sugar Plum' tinkling Fairies, but I hope the woodsman with the bad limp doesn't catch them LOL. Love this ( 'Baroque'?) style piece; quite Transylvanian sounding, regards M |

dear drak i LOVE the idea of the dark forest and all the fairies and forest creatures coming to the middle of woods to a little lea flooded in a moonlight, to have their midnight fairy dance. the effect is SO enchanting and fairy-taleish. with this magic story behind it is so wonderful to listen, to be taken away with that subtility, delicacy and tenderness of the music because it captures the image so wonderfully and so magically. you know already all my opinions, but i have to say again the flute is simply STUNNING and the bells... they do the magic... wonderful. i love the cello, what a great contrast with gentle bells. the calmer mid part fits to the story very well, because it is just exactly the moment, when in the middle of dance every dancer needs a little break, just to rest a little, just to catch a breath and then back to the swirl of dance again! i love that little jewish triplet, thats my weakness, i've told you already :) all in total it is truly a magical and wonderful piece of music edo. i love it. splendid. |

I really like how you draw the listener in right from the start. The instrumentation here is excellent! I love the into leading into the theme especially with all the instruments taking turns. The theme is really enchanting. Thanks for posting this! chip |

Once again... The dragon has smoked us over. You are so deliciously talented. Nice to enjoy the simplicity of the fairy tale feel while also feeling light, romantic, dramatic and magical. Beautifully blended together. I love the tender bells and flute. Wow! As always...Truly Wonderful job Eduard! Thank you for sharing this! |

it sways... like the trees. It's remarkable that you are able to make each track (instrument) dance on it's own, while conforming to the song as a whole. Your classical influences are really highlighted here. I like that we hear the growl of the bowed upright bass, but I'm wondering if you could add in a plucked bass line. You really embrace the 'standards' of the ethnic genres. It's a flair that's uniquely Drakonis. :-) |

A lot of attention to detail here. A very delicate touch of a pleasant tune. I wasn't sure about the droning breath-like cellos or accordions?. Maybe a little sharper or varied attack might have livened them up for me. Still a catchy and likable tune here Eduard. Nice work. Best, Charlie |

Livelyness Hmm, the mischievous fairies and wood nymphs... definitely. In fact, I could barely help but picture vaguely Fantasia-like scenes while listening. Yes, I think a magic forest late at night is exactly what your music is saying here. Really great job composing with the orchestra, Eduard! |

Like the echo feel of the strings and the woodwinds It almost seems like a setting for movie backround with a taste of Edgar Allen Poe. The fantasy of the bell sounds is very striking in a sweet way. Thanks for sharing the wonderful composition. |

How's this for a whole new .... ... taste in the mouth ... the schizophrenic brain ... talking to itself ... while the DARK side is trying to portray a message .. the lighter side is dancing away in its manic stage .. saying no no no ... all the whole the dark voice is shaking its finger saying no no no .. let me tell you where you are going wrong .. and again .. the light voice is dancing .. saying ... who cares ??? Leave me alone .. I am having fun !!!!! (apparently the light voice has the last word in this one) ! Isn't it interesting tho .. how many facets the human brain has in it's capacity to interpret a musical piece in so many different lights. |

glamourous gloom love the main theme and how it is naturally varied and developed throughout different sections.. bits of impressions i got: slavic melancholy, folkly rhythm, medieval grandeur, russian shine, french gracefulness thanks for sharing and having produced such pleasant work! |

ahh Geez, Eduard! This is terrific and shows your tremendous growth as a composer and producer. I absolutely love it and the flute part, especially. I think this would make wonderful theme music for a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. You've captured the wonder of true love with your lovely music. Also, I really don't want to think about how you did this with the pencil. It hurts my head. I'd rather just daydream to the music. |

great I'd say this is in the "fantasy" genre. I could hear it in a soundtrack to a movie like *Willow*. It IS reminiscent of the "Transylvania" piece. You could make this into a series. |

Willow... now there's a movie I've not seen in at least a decade! "Fantasy movie soundtrack" music is definitely flattering! And I appreciate you listening/comparing it to its rough predecessor too... this full orchestral version is what I originally had in mind, and "Dancylvania" was a quick smirky snapshot along the way. Now on to the next project... hmm... And where's your next one? It is about time to hear you again, isn't it? :-) ttfn, Drakonis --- Deja vu - It's the next best thing to being there<br> ### Today's song:<a href="http://www.macjams.com/song/28669">Dance of the Technoids</a> |

the musical Serat I love the shuffle between the minor and major in the theme... just like the art you chose... this had a shimmering quality... I always wonder what it is like to be a fly on the wall when you do your stuff... do you hear it out front? does it emerge as you work?... flumoxed here... either way your final result is marvolous, if not somewhat alien to me... this has a animated feature soundtrack quality about it... visual as one would expact after seeing your dvd clips... your a creative guy, seen in your music and your consistant original humor that spans the entire site |

variations on Gothic Pagan theme...? ...perhaps- it's only my opinion, as this is the type of imagery being conjured up in my imagination- maybe it's the 'minor vs. major' 'tug 'o war' being waged. Very Eastern European, in a Dvorak kinda way...(which I love, btw) The orchestral roles of the woodwind & string sections are right on the money. I love the countermelody of the clarinet against the flute theme, which cleverly becomes a variation of the main theme in its own right. How DO you make the clarinet & flute sound so real?! The strings sit nicely in the background, and the cello 'ground bass' is perfect for this ensemble, as it gives the piece a 'baroque' twist to the Eastern European Gothic Pagan sound (now, how's THAT for a mixture!- possibly not too surprising, given the imagination of the composer from whence it came!) I keep listening to this over & over, and I fear I'll take up the entire page with commentary... This is really lovely, Eduard and bears testament to your understanding of orchestration, with the added bonus of a wonderful imagination. Many Thanks & Cheers, Alf |

Nutcracker Reminds me of the "Sugar Plum Fairy" from the Nutcracker, with the celeste parts, played on top of the strings and woodwind parts. Tchaikovsky would find much to like. I think Prokofiev would also hear echoes of "Peter And The Wolf" now and again. Your computer chops are really impressive. Sounds very convincingly orchestral. |

Hi Drak This one is an improvement over your previous version. The melody is enchanting, the bells in the background are charming. Somehow it reminds me of Harry Potter! (I love the books, movies and music). I would love to hear this piece played by an orchestra in a concert hall! This one is a download for sure. I dont knnow if I have any criticisms. I like it just "as is". Thank you. |

This is bitchin! It ran shivers up my back the whole way through! Great progression and production! This one shall definitely stick with me. I dig how it's all over the place yet it maintains a sense of symmetry to the end. Most excellent work. I was quite impressed. Alvin |

I love how all the woodwinds dance together with the bells and i love the switching back and forth from minor to major......it difinately puts one in the spirit of adventure. This is a ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!!! :D)
