you must have a big backyard pretty expansive sound. nice additons of the reverse tremolo guitar and vocal. And of course the chirpy critter. |

Very audacious of you - really nice piece As you know I've wandered in some of the same areas - I can really get into this. I especially like the little bit of structure and change you built in - very flowing and organic. Yum. |

Droney ... is my new fav word. Sounds kinda Eno-ish t me, which I mean as a compliment. Electric ethereal - really liked this, Mike. steve |

Morphing backyard - where am I?! Much more intense than your usual soundscape with synth swooshes and pretty "sunrise feel"! More like an active, dynamic reflection on the transience of a moment. Wonder if you were watching clouds while doing this. Reminded me of Sigur Ros and - strangely - biba_nova... The only song with that name I know is Imogen Heap's Cumulus, which incidentally has a similar ethereal feel to it. I always like when someone capable and talented as you goes into a new direction and comes up with something like this! And sure it's a song, a really really good song! |

what DOES a cloud sound like? I was sitting in my back yard last weekend (sweating), watching the very same cumulous clouds billowing up over the desert. In some ways, this does feel very nebulous/cumulous/ponderous... but I guess the fact that there wasn't much repeating of sounds, or echoing, made this feel smaller than a huge cumulous cloud... I was expecting things to rattle around and come back as echoes (like the guitar, and voice.) However, the chorus and backward guitar/voice were definitely the right textures, this really began to feel dreamy and somewhat intangible and cloudy... very nice, and easy to drift away and listen to. Great soundscape, as usual! ttfn, Drakonis |

its great Michael. In fact, much better than most of the ambient stuff I usually send you. Although you mention "Stars of The Lid" and "Dead Texan', I think it resembles "Eluvium", another favorite of mine.Specially his noisy guitar works like "Taken". What instruments did you use in that one? Great job, my friend! |

Cumulus Wow, this one really hit me. Love ambient but is unique. Thanks. |

Love the frippertronic feel of this...and it kind of reminds me of....me, the stuff I do.
:-)
Song or not - this is very good!
