I like this song... but prefer Andy Stewart's version. Kudos for posting it. Be lucky. |

It seems like eons ago that there was a post from you Caroline - and what a lovely post with have here - and with your trademark kazoo playing of course. That pink eggshaker is obviously far more esoteric than my early learning centre one. We don't need Andy Stewart! Great fun as ever. Thank you for posting. Peter |

:o) - wow ... .. ah canny think wit inspired ye lassie ;o) .. Tomas!! .. knew I wouldn't get any "cute" remarks for speaking English with a Scottish accent .. oh no .. had to be Tomas .. sheesh ;o) hahahah. "apb flew in for mj uk 2008 from sweden" .. arrived a bit early then !! *doh* lol. Lovely post Caroline: I could sense it was brewing inside you to record this old gem... could do with some panning .. and a few more of those "sus" chords ;o) Sorry to hear River got sacked as percussionist .. so soon in his career too... ah well: avocado oot ... pink egg .. in! .. and that geetar has a name .. it's Janine's guitar!!! Thanks awefully dahling ...for having us over .. and putting us up/up with us, feeding us, taking us to the theatre party & chippy, getting my Nicotine drugs, making us re-cycle the empties, advising against playing the cat like a trumpet if it got it's bahooky in the way again..etc etc ;o) .. we had a ludicrously silly and fun packed few days..with only one minor argument .. with the vicious toilet latch ;o) As Tomas says in Sweden, with a Scottish accent: "Yarp!" Next year .. I'll be in me kilt ..and feeling the wind blow high and low :o).. Rhamsay dress tartan .. not "a green one, or a red one" (which was the reply to my "which clans have you got?" question to a kilt hire shop I phoned once in England). I do not talk alot! Oh .. arse ... LOL. xoxoxoxo |

troosers optional It was worth the twenty minutes it took for this little gem to load on my dialup connection! ;) Ooooh, soo luffly! James has got me wearing no troosers here! Would you believe I'm wearing a sarong and liking it? LOL Judging from this song, you all had a woooo-derful time! Hopefully you'll be posting more gems from the gathering. |

There should be.... ...more kazoo in popular music in general. Shame we had to wait for such a fleeting appearance of it in this song - Remix please:-)) Enjoyed - Phil |

I have a smile even before I heard the tune Caroline. You add a lot of >joy< to MJ. Keep it going you talented lady you! But your theatrical talent is massive in such an entertaining way! Glad your one of MJ's own! |

Well my ancestors hail from the Isle of Skye... ...and I wore the kilt when once I entered a highland dancing competition. Mind you dancing with one of those wretched sporrans bouncing up and down on yer whatnot is not my idea of fun and of course I had trouble finding a kilt long enough... But seriously, this is an essential and loving interpretation of this little known traditional Scots bothy ballad - methinks tinged with a little post MJUK07 sadness. KK |

Haha, where's me troosers? Hey lass, you're completely crazy, did anybody tell you before? What a cool dedication to your friends this is, I struggled a lot not to laugh out loud, as my wife is sleeping in the next room... |

I love your music it's so entertaining and unpretentious and fun. Have you ever thought of doing any of Frank Crumit's songs, like for instance- There's no one with endurance Like a Man who Sells Insurance....? be right down your alley I would think. Let me know if you want any as I've got tons of it here. Excellent post - downloaded and favourited as well. John |
