Wow!
Wonderful. You guys are very locked into sync together- very impressive. Wow! Thanks for this; I really enjoyed it.

Ibstrat said 449 days ago
Actually
both guitars are me.Are you comparing my song to n'Sync?I probably should call it Slightly Out of Sync.

composerclark said 448 days ago
sorry...
sorry 'bout that... I had mistakenly thought that this was an 'nsync cover, which is why I was so excited, 'cause they're like totally the BEST band EVER!!!!!

ClarkRoss.ca has recordings and scores for almost everything I have written.

Clark
You might be interested in my latest project-a medley of NSync songs done in the style of various 20th century composers. So far I have "Tearin' Up My Heart" in the style of "Verklarte Nacht"(Shoenberg) followed by "This I Promise You" in the style of "Ionization"(Varese). The final piece will be "Bye Bye Bye"in the style of 4'33" (John Cage).
If you have any suggestions on how to adapt these songs let me know!

absolutley swirling greatness.. nice leading! do you give lessons! ha... great listen thanks for sharing

Ibstrat said 447 days ago
Thanks for your
input-this was really just messing around trying to overdub something. The Abelton software I am using has the worst tutorial I have ever seen...it took me a long time to figure out how to do a simple 2 instrument overdub.

Moviz said 449 days ago
I Love
this 'classic' electric tone; reminds me of guitar music I heard on radio years and years ago ( slightly Les Paul sound tone-wise? ). Brilliant rich sounding job here, love it DL too, M

Ibstrat said 447 days ago
Glad you liked
the song.I do like Les Paul, although I haven't heard him in awhile.I think he still plays in N.Y, every Monday at the age of 90 something!

jiguma said 449 days ago
Lovely playing
Sounds like something off a fringe jazz LP in the 60s (just about any jazz in the 60s was fringe to me). Very cool playing and a very relaxed/relaxing tune!

Fringe
I'm not that familiar with 60's fringe jazz other than Ornette Coleman, but thanks for checking out my music!

Sentinel said 447 days ago
Joe Pass
and Kenny Burrell having a conversation. Nice playing.

Ibstrat said 446 days ago
Thanks for
your comment-don't think I'm anywhere near those 2 guys!

Mcboy said 446 days ago
nice
soulful playing.......strat has a magical tone....almost sounds hollow body.....bravo.....!

Ibstrat said 444 days ago
I appreciate it
Thanks for checking out my music.

How many times...
...do I have t' tell ya not to leave your guitar on the pool table? Huh?

You know, at this point you can't deny it: you are using JAZZ CHORDS!... Yep. Chords with numbers. I just know it...

Mind you, I'm still hanging on for the day that you plug in to a Distortion Plus... Just pop that into your 'request' list after the Varese and Cage...

Yet, even I, lowly worm of a guitar player, can appreciate the tone, the phrasing, the different lines moving in a piece like this, along with the requisite bad pun... I can't properly DESCRIBE them, or say what I'm hearing, but I can appreciate that it's good, it sounds wonderful, AND I CAN'T DO IT...

Oh yeah. And don't post cool tunes while I'm away on vacation.

Ibstrat said 444 days ago
Actually
This song is just a minor blues pompously and arrogantly dressed up with arpeggios and jazz chords thereby making it completely inaccessible to those who don't like jazz.
At some point maybe I will try more of a rock song-that would mean figuring out how to use a drum machine or something which doesn't appeal to me much.
At the moment I am working on the first ever guitar transcription of John Cage's 4'33" which I will post as soon as it is finished.
Sorry about posting during your vacation-next time please provide me with a full itinerary, then if I am contacted by any of your borderline patients I can let them know where you are.

Nice duo solo :-)

Love the voicings , the mood , the playing .

Ibstrat said 438 days ago
Thanks
I greatly respect your opinion-thanks for the input!

guitapick said 440 days ago
Couldn't have dreamed up...
...a sweeter piece. You one fine, fine picker, ye are, Mr. Strat (or Ibanez).

Serious arranger, too. I agree with McBoy: got it close to a hollow body tone. Very, very nice.

Ibstrat said 438 days ago
I appreciate
your comments-thanks for checking out my tune.By the way there are lots more Lenny Breau videos on youtube...definitely worth looking at.

guitapick said 437 days ago
Great tip...
...he's a monster. Thanks so much...
