I'm sitting here, shaking my head and grinning, while enjoying your take on this - I can see why Mark had you post it. It would have been a shame to've just been lost to the world of 0's and 1's w/o letting us hear it. Good job. Now... was there any Jack Daniels , somewhere near and about a certain studio around the time that this little ditty came into fruition... - Just kidding... Projecting, of course... Guitar work . . . Guitar work is top-notch. Nice consistent tempo, which has the effect of inviting others to jam along, as you did with your singing. Aside from that, the guitarist seems to know his instrument quite well, and moves from one position to another with effortless ease. Your lyrics are humorous, and nicely compliment the solid guitar track. If it was me, I might have done the vocal EQ with more of a natural feel, to match the natural-sounding guitar. But this worked, too, the way you did it. The heavy effects on the vocals did have the effect (!) of making the listener (me) pay attention a bit more to the words. Very creative, Len. |
