Description It's an Amokopera song. With lyrics and melody by Graeme Hobbs and music by me.

So the waster is in the benefits office. He tries to claim a disabilty benefit. Unfortunately the benefits officer saw him running for a bus the previous day and refuses the application.

This is his response....... strong language ensues

Very much a WIP , any suggestions welcome.

Cheers

Well Dick...
I've read through the comments on your "Minstrel Boy" and can't find where anyone called it "ephemeral." I see it was called "ethereal" a couple of times (once by me). Oh well, no matter....

Very funny this! Way to stick it to the man!

Be well!

Oops
I'm quoting from another website and have to admit I've been unfaithful to macjams. I think it was referring to a sense of time passing and the transitory nature of life.

I would have used ethereal but it didn't alliterate with effluent :-)

I'm pleased you enjoyed it (I'll edit the description to save further confusion)

Cheers

Stick????
... obviously truncated to avoid offending the kiddies. Great track, i love the music-hall style of this, with the horns and banjo (sounds like one, anyone).

WIP Dick? Not sure what else there is to add to this ... great tune, the effects work well within the track, the mix is great .... it's a Christmas number one to my ears!!

Running Amok
I'm always in the mood for an Amok song! I'm still laughing at the Dick Van Dyke verse, what do you think of that?

Keep the banjo and tuba in any future versions. Played right those are very impertinent instruments.

Thanks
Bill

You..
Cheeky Chappie you ! LOL, I love your music , your voice, the humour and your 'Vile' words LOL. I can't wait for this Opera to be finished, but I doubt if the BBC will allow these Lyrics... so it'll have to go on Chanel 4 instead, Cheers M

Refreshingly candid! :)

Like it!

You have a fab voice for this kind of stuff. (And yes that is meant to be a compliment.)

Very Entertaining
Jolly Old England strikes again! This sounds like the old English music hall music with a dose of Monty Python.

Funny song and well done.
