Impressed I'm impressed. I think everything else of yours that I've heard has been your own creation or your arrangement of something else; have you done other "straight' classical pieces on MacJams? Anyway, really nice job, showing you once again to be a really fine guitarist of extraordinary range. |

What an honor. What an honor to be the student of the student of Andre Segovia. Indeed, what an honor for us to hear your playing Bill, and to be called your friends. Thank you. God bless, Rick |

Fantastico! Bill, what a fantastic performance you accomplished here! Wow man, you sure are an excellent guitarist. Also, many thanks for expressing this piece of musical knowledge to us regarding the works of Choro da Saudade. I'll have to look for more of his music. P.S., I also see you have moved to Nashville--I am very jealous because the music and music scene there is so diverse and excellent. |

You really are... ...some kind of player, there, Bill. I had a feeling that there was some classical/Spanish background in your playing. This definitely confirms... Wonderful piece played beautifully. I'd love to hear you playing over Concierto de Aranjuez. |

Relit Eth Marvelous. One of your best. With a wittiness and freedom that is extremely charming. Did you throw in those slightly jazzy sections or is everything like he wrote it? |

Captivating Bravo, bravo. Oh my, what impressive chops you have. This was a delight to find. I loved the way you captured not just the notes, but the environment in which it was played. Very classically recorded. Great. |

Liz is sweet Bill, I don't always get to your songs - mainly because there are just so many of them ;) - but I'm glad I dropped in for this one. Beautiful tone from Liz - and your usual classy playing. It must be so rewarding to be able to play so beautifully. Neil |

I was just reading about this guy! In Guitar: An American Life, which I recommend reading... Your touch on this is both light and precise. Once again, as with some of the other MacJammers on the site who have real playing chops, I am struck by how nice this sounds without at any moment sounding like a technical exercise... Be sure to find the forum thread I started, and 'sign up' as a Taylor player if you haven't already... You have my respect and admiration, Bill. Again. Ed |

intricate piece, excellent playing! This piece is indeed quite intricate and involved, but the virtuosic way you play it makes it sound easy. The rapid shifting of voices from register to register makes the music sound as full as a symphony orchestra. The variety of sound-quality adds a lot of interest. Is it my imagination, or did you do a different take on the last third of this recording? After that new section in major key, the reverb and ambience sounded changed. In any case, this is a wonderful piece of music, performed with your usual consummate guitar skill! |

wonderful recording! Your technique is fantastic, but you have a lot of that warmth that a piece like this needs to sound musical. Just what I love about the classical guitar. So... you took lessons from a person who took lessons from Segovia? Wow, that means I know a guy who took lessons from a guy who took lessons from Segovia! It is nice to hear a piece of the classical guitar repertoire from you, Bill. It is a nice counterpoint to the pieces you compose and arrange for the guitar. |
