Keywords money (31)bulldog (9)beforedaycreep (2)outside (18)
Description Been having trouble with this one-drums-guitar, credits; I reckon it's all fixed now; wasn't going to re-post just yet, but someone just came by and gave me a vote half of what everyone else considered right, so I reckon I might as well (no, they didn't leave a comment).
Oh, the song...Kind of an 80-yr old version of Johnny Taylor's 'Who's Making Love'. Also known as "'Fore Day Creep"
Lyrics When Yyou lose your money, pray God you don't lose your mind
When you lose your woman, please don't pick on mine.

Gonna buy me a bulldog, watch my lady whilst I sleep;
You know, women these days so doggone crooked, she might make a 'fore day creep

You can't have tour wife and your outside women too
You out with your woman, your wife's home beatin' ya doin' it, buddy what you gonna do?

Authentic blues
You have captured a pretty authentic blues feel here. Just curious: what's different between this version and the last one? Only other thought I have right now is that the reverb is pretty extreme for my tastes, at least on the vocal part. It'd be interesting to hear this with less reverb and perhaps more of a powerful vocal delivery (i.e., projecting a louder sound, as if you didn't have a mike, and were trying to fill a small club with the sound of your voice).

I like the drums/guitar simplicity in the accompaniment.

DIFFERENCE
is in the fact that the credits now read right if you open the thing in iTunes
SH....just realised I lost the comments......it's been many years since I sang without a decent PA/monitor system, and I'm too old and feeble to do it again now......that said, I'd probably make a better record live, with someone else recording and mixing (assuming I ever get out again - I'm working on it). I'll think about reverb next time I listen to it, which won't be for a while, to give myself a little distance

Sweet Slide
Love your guitar. Very good blues tone. I can see what the previous comment was saying about the vocals but to me they are fine. All blues don't have to have a powerhouse vocal. I think of your voice as just another funky instrument that adds to the overall sound of the tune!

Great blues tune!
Is that a slide guitar that you're playing? Whatever it is, I'm totally digging the sound of it. You've definitely got a blues tune on your hands here. Well done!

YUP
That's a slide - there's more coming, tho' the next tune up will feature sax, instead - the other 2 tunes I have up at the moment feature slide, but they have to be re-vocaled and re-mixed.....for more on why the young girls can't resist the slide, go to nastyoldbluesguy.com and read Lafferty and the Devil - I promise you'll enjoy
Cheers, Shaky

Shakey I'm with you -
good tune here - like the production - the whole deal. reminds me a little of Eric Von Schmidt.

Shake it!
Awesome! Feels like the original Fleetwood Mac's "Rattlesnake Shake." Raw down n' dirty blues herein. Great growlin' vox. Love your slides! If I was still participating in the whole voting thing I'd give this 10's straight across!

Be well!

Thanx, everyone
Haven't heard Von Scmidt mentioned for the longest time; used to listen to him many years ago, when I was still a young pup; he was definitely someone who helped me realise what "The Blues" was about.....the real moments of realisation came, tho', from seeing Dave and Joanne Edwards going at it with 12-strings and slide and having so much FUN, and Taj Mahal's wonderful double album (The Ole Folks At home/Take A Giant Step) which helped a teenage English kid understand that this was truly living music, not something for the muscologists. So long ago....am I really this old?
Cheers
