nice work Nothing in particular jumps out as annoying - if that's what you are worried about. I thought the transitions were smoothly done, with an occasional more abrupt one to keep things interesting. The different passages offer a variety of sonic variations. The only transition that bothered me a little was the last pause at the end, before the final strong notes and the banjo returns - it just didn't seem as smooth or as well-integrated as the other transitions (but this is a small nit). All in all, a pretty nice exercise in music-making. |

Hillybillylicious! You obviously had a lot of fun doing this which is the main thing - there's lots of real nice stuff going on reflecting your original (bizarre?) vision! If this was mine, I'd look at the structure a bit. One thing hillbilly banjo does well is provide a pulse and drive to bluegrass. Once the banjo cut out in this piece, the energy level sagged. Changes in tempo and dynamic are fine but you need to think about how to balance these and make them work. Personally I would have reintroduced the banjo sooner and made it last for longer. However, there's good things happening in your musical imagination - keep it up! KK |

Never heard I can't believe it. You're like Steve Miller meets Lavalamp in Tampa for a grill party at Bob Dorsey's house. Liked IT a lot. LL |

Can You fire a steak for me, too? I like it. It is fun and though I hate accordion now, because my ex plays one in his German Sauerkraut Band and I guess the banjo reminds me of that kind of sound..., I still like what you've done here. I like Bluegrass so you can "hill your billy" any old time you like. It is a happy recording. Thanks! |

and rather enjoyed it, both from a conceptual and listening
perspective.
You were right to nix the "yee-haws"
A couple of the transitions might be a bit abrupt.
