A real musical treat
Like how you add all the neat sounds as this gem continues.
My only wish that this would coninue longer cause it is so nice to the ears.

Wow!

Nice arrangement
I'll mirror thetiler's sentiments that I wish this was longer. I'd love to hear
you post other selections from The Nutcracker. This was delightful!

Right when I was getting into the groove of this tune, it stopped.

I want MORE!!!!!!

Very nicely done.

credible synthesis
Wow. This is some of the best Jam Pack magic I've heard. Great job.
Ending lacked reverb and gentle decay. Only one minute? Do more!
What tricks can you share for making the virtual instruments sound so
good?

wow!
You performed each one of these instruments on the keyboard?

They all sound so convincing.

Count me among those who want a longer experience. I can't imagine
how many hours went into making this tasty little treat, though.

What the heck is the droning instrument throughout? I've never been able
to figure that out.

Nice performances on all parts!

wow!
Thanks everyone for all the nice comments! I'm sorry it's so short...but that's all Tchaikovsky wrote (of this particular piece anyway)! I could make it longer by slowing it down, which I probably should anyway.

aclarke -- I was considering doing the Nutcracker overture; maybe I'll give it a go for real.

rschletty -- I have very little knowledge or experience with effects, so I would love to hear more specifically (i.e. spelled out "for dummies") how I could improve the ending with reverb and decay.

As for my "tricks," my only real one is to pick a piece that features the best sounds JP4 has to offer! I think the flute, clarinet, celesta, pizzicato strings and staccato winds are all wonderful and those are pretty much what makes up this piece. There is one droning French horn part (it begins at the same time as the celesta and clarinet) that I deleted because the horn sounds in JP4 are not nearly as good and it did not blend into the mix no matter what I did.

screaming.org -- There's a pizzicato string bass note on every downbeat, and the wind instruments playing the 8th notes from the beginning are bassoons. (I guess you meant the bassoons).

Thanks again!

That was beautifully played .
You are very skilled at your craft .
This makes your comment on " Bach on the ACID" all the more appreciated .
If I could sight read I would try something like what you have done.

Great stuff Magritte .

gosh. wow.
This just came up in the home page player. Glad it did, too because I did a double-take. Thought it could have been played live -- really amazing phrasing and syncopation there, magritte.

Nimble Fingers
What kind of cereal are you eating in the morning that makes your fingers do that on the keyboard? Because I want to buy a few boxes of that. I'm totally blown away by your sense of direction and organization. This, along with your earlier pieces, testifies to a skilled musician, one who takes a very original approach to her craft and to the songs she loves. Really, is it cold or hot cereal? Does Kashi make it? :)
