Another Gem Lovely composition and arrangement with a tempered fusion of different styles and elements. All delivered with expert fluency and technique. I wish my fingers could dance like that on the keys. |

Wonderful Wonderful, especially that basic theme that the piano does. Also on bass and drums you make a good job. Isn't it difficult to make good drums on a keyboard? Seems to me anyway (on the other hand I know nothing of keyboard playing). |

my musical angel just when life turns in another mysterious confusing and frustrating direction, along comes master Futz to rescue me with his brilliant, soulful music. You have the knack of touching me very deeply. And this piece is no exception. Mindbogglingly, totally precious and beautiful. deepest bow z |

Delightful! I really like the ebb and flow of this, like soft waves caressing the shore as you enjoy the breeze. And thank you for putting a real and enjoyable ending on this, very well written piece of music. Very relaxing and compelling at the same time... didn't get repetitive or boring as some new-age-jazzy type stuff does... I really like it! Another of yours DL/ Faved! ttfn, Drakonis |

Well played A wonderful example of how to play various sound modules convincingly. The percussion was especially well done. The piano playing is, of course, marvelous. |

Effortless Everything about this piece of music is beautifully executed and you never, ever lost the emotion, which I admire so much. It sounds as though the music just told itself to you and you made it happen, the composition is so flawless, relaxed and flowing. A lovely, lovely experience, Patrick. Thank you! |

AMAZING Wow..... I could listen to that piece all day. It just..... flows. You definately succeeded in painting the picture. Reminds me of something I would write, except with more "musical maturity" than I have yet. Beautiful. I am now a fan :D. |

Very evocative You are a master at this - thoughtful music, with something to suggest within an aural canopy......there are some moments a quarter in that don't match the brilliance of the rest of the composition - some of the harmonies aren't lining up, it seems dissonant only because, I don't know, maybe you weren't going there - because I felt your heart from the get-go, and it seemed to get muddled, the idea, the beauty, the concept, somewhere about mid-way, but then the atmosphere picks up, percussively and then it really rises to the fore. All in all, a wonderful piece, orchestrations are incredible, the mood is unmistakable....the middle section, a little work needed - everything else - sweet, sweet, oh, those voices are indeed a nice touch. Yeah! Ya! Yay! Okay, I'll calm down now......well done.. |

What to say about this This is a wonderful piece of music here. A very solid composition. I don't know what to say to an accomplished musician w/o coming off as sounding kind of silly; trying to explain what I liked about all of the intricacies that went into producing a tune like this. I almost get the feeling that you are like another Mcboy, Partick. As in, you are likely a well known, *famous* and that you are an established artist. And, that we are kinda like the 'cat's mouse toy'. This is what I get from listening to your music. As a person, or from your presence here, I get more of the same... This is not meant to be a dig unless of course, it is true, otherwise, it's a phat compliment. Thank you for being here, at MJS' - All diggn' aside, you keep high, the bar here... And I am truly inspired... - Thanks for that! - Dion |

What on earth took me so long to find this? I really enjoyed listening to this song--it's so natural and smooth. I used to listen to some new age albums a lot (I'm thinking of Philip Aaberg's "Shape of the Land" soundtrack, for one), and this takes me back to that time (late 80's) and place... though you're using a richer array of instruments. I'm experimenting a lot with Garageband's symphonic instruments, trying to make music out of them--this is a great example of the (probably, for me) unattainable standard of excellence that I'm aiming towards. Great work Patrick! |

Paints a picture Maybe it's because the picture reminds me of a beach in Ireland near where they filmed, "Far and Away," or maybe it's because your song reminds me of the film, "The Indian in the Cupboard," but your song reminds me of tranquility. It's a great hook, and it's tough for me to listen to without having words run through my mind. That shows me your song has a broad familiarity to it. It feels comfortable to me. Thank you. |

Mesmerizing. How on earth could I not like this? This is stunning and so very intricate. Nothing felt jarring... even the perfectly placed chimes and gentle percussion. You have a way with "voice" as well! Your piano playing is just beautiful. The orchestration pulls at me too. ooh, this is wonderful! |

Back for another listen Just wanted to let you know that I came back for another couple of listens, and I still love it. If anything, I'm likeing it more. The A section is very repetitive, of course, yet you manage to keep it interesting by varying the arrangement, and throwing in little variations. I really like the way you weave an English Horn (or oboe?) melody over this chord progression towards the end. I also really enjoyed the B section; less structured, less predictable, but for me, highly original and a joy to hear. Keep 'em coming! 10/10/10/10 |

Coastal Beauty Futz...you have done it again. Your inner self comes thru once again in this little piece. I could write a thousand years and never come up with this. Very original, plus, the awesome photo is where I would love to be listening to this on an IPOD. The sound of sea birds would be a great addition. Brilliant. |

Oh, wow I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I haven't really checked out your stuff before (besides that collaboration with Ziti a couple of weeks back). I'm so glad I finally did check it out. I'm now listening to this for the third time in a row - and probably a few more plays to come. I wasn't more than a few seconds into the second when I was swept away. I have always been a sucker for smooth, melodic piano jazz and this is among the prettier lines I can remember. This is really beautiful. An instant all time MJ favorite - no doubt. -Einar S. |

Modern Tribal Shades of Lyle Mays... Are you hip to his first album? It is amazing... I like the modern tribal aspect to this tune. I even like the keyboard guitar, and I usually abhor those..! I like the richness of the piano part - I think it gives it a beautiful and important texture voicing the chords so low like that. I can see a deep mind, heart and soul here... I'm sure we're just hearing a small bit of what you can do and have done. |

paint Very well done . I like the bass and piano interactivity in this track . |

Excellent New Age chord progression, with really nice open jazz voicings,
well done easy listening soft jazz mix, great choice in layered sounds,
very cinematic palette, interesting theme and variations, but the
composition transcends labels, is truly wonderful. I really like this.
