Description Just another typical song examining the idea of having too many extra arms. This was spoken/sung in German, which makes it even more typical. If you've heard one, you've heard them all.
Lyrics Warum Mama?
Warum Mama?
Warum Mama?

Ich habe zu viele Arme
Ich habe zu viele Arme
Ich habe zu viele Arme

Jeder hat sonst zwei
Warum ich sieben habe?
Warum hat er zwei?
Warum bitte ich habe sieben?

Ich habe zu viele Arme
Ich habe zu viele Arme
Ich habe zu viele Arme

Jeder hat sonst zwei

Ein super gutes Lied
Es gefllt mir wirklich sehr.

Sounds quite Kraftwerk-ish, and I mean that as a compliment.

Is this close to your normal voice? If so, I knew I would like it. If not, I still
think I would like it :-)

Ein super gutes Lied
Vielen Dank!

That's pretty much the voice I'm stuck with. I started the song by trying to
find a good rhyme with "Arme" and the best thing I came up with was
"Mama", so I just went with it. I put lyrics in the early stages of the song's
development so that I didn't have the same problems that I've had before
where I just have too much noise to find a way to fit the vocals in a satisfying
way. By the final stages of the songwriting I had some parts that seemed like
they were begging to put the random numbers into place. For some reason,
"Sieben" and "Eins" seemed like they could go just about anywhere I dropped
them, but "Zwei" and "Drei" weren't as cooperative. Is it just me or does that
make sense? "Funf" seemed naughty like that as well.

I promise I won't abuse German any time soon, although it sounded better
than when I sang it in English.

Bis bald!

Unexpected

You just blew my mind.
There's music out there sung in something OTHER than English?!?

CRAZY!

It's like some weird beer commercial.

I can see kids dancing really slow and weird to this in some run down disco in eastern Europe.

What's crazy is this, there really are kids dancing really slow and weird in some run down disco in eastern Europe as we speak.

geez
I hope it's not to offensively pc to like this song, but I do! I like it a lot!

I don't know what you're saying, so I guess I can't be incriminated, except that I know you've abused the number system and rhymed at whim!!! (based on commentary)

Well, I know a few words in German, so I"m guessing the second verse reads I have five arms? lol

This song is just too cool. Your voice sounds great, the mix and arrangement is well-done in my opinion.

Thanks for pointing me to this one!

I like the irony of your cover art!

WHY? = WARUM
OK Estellie,

since you practically begged me for an answer - Yes you can sing this song in Spanish.

The lyrics in English are:

Why Mama?

I have so many arms

Everyone else has only two
Why do I have seven?
Why does he have two?
Please, tell me why I have seven?

Etc....

It's sad, and funny and really, impossible, despite what most people with five extra arms think!

(If only you knew how many people have asked me about my five extra arms. Luckily, I can simultaneously email 3 different people whilst scratching my extra chin....)

My only wish (besides world peace) is that this song could be translated into as many languages as possible and posted here on MacJams - my only source for original music.

I'll send ANYONE the band file if they are interested.

five extra arms is not what you thought it'd be.

estellie said 584 days ago
wow!
I'm excited about your project.

I would love to cooperate if you can be patient with me as I have three songs to work on now, and only 2 arms.

You'll have to forgive us who are differently challenged ; )

The Waiting Is The Hardest Part
Estellie,

this song was posted about 7 years ago and has like 3 comments.... I'm just amazed that anyone is interested in even teasing me about it.

Rock on with your two armed self!
