Description sometimes you work on a song too long and it becomes a muddles overproduced mess. Its one of those songs that became a mutated alien monster with 27 legs. So after about 7 incarnations I decided to not other and here is what Jobu recommended ... mostly. He get co-production creds for making the suggestions I eventually followed.
Lyrics careful I'm lost in a stream of wires and promises
holding a thought in my head seams like all this is
illusions of
holding me
portions of sand in the sky and the
pillar of why
you and I
will divide

mothers and daughters and yelling and fathers
it doesn't end
disappointing them
not your friends

feeding the engine of roots and all of our terrible
high points and low are sent in an comet tail after glow
the nights behind
morning time

mothers and daughters and yelling and fathers
it doesn't end
its all that they know so we seperate us from
dissapointing them

I love
everything you do. This is great. A song from your heart. Your last song influenced the hell out of me on my newest song.

I love this song!
I went back to the earlier posting of this to see what was different about it this version and the other one didn't play. So maybe that's the only difference. Maybe it was a linked song before... anyway, this is one of my favorite songs!

ZOINKS MY FAIR LADY1
Where you singing through a soda can? It had a mysterious vocal effect! It could have been the wax build up in my ears! Anyway you are hot! And I mean it!

:)

Well that makes sense. I thought maybe it was a remix. I didn't have my download from before of it handy because I'm at work. For comparison's sake.

Awesome
This is so clean, yet so raw and different. Reminds a bit of
Sigurd Sol (from Island), very powerful, the song is is
perfectly mixed, and the lyrics: wow! Great work! Thanks.

depressingly good
Moving song. I think the simple arrangement and low-fi
sound is just right for this song, giving it such a personal
space... wounded somehow. I think I would have gone with a
darker reverb or perhaps a slight echo instead of reverb
altogether, myself.

unique sound
You get a very unique sound with the vocal effects and
also your delivery on this tune. The rather ethereal guitar
sounds accompany it all well.

Good lyrics. Nice ending.

sigh
That lo-fi fuzz is great... all the sonic tratments work
well... I really like the song! It doesn't sound
overworked at all to me.

Birds and Cars
I love the way you used the car and birdsong to place the song (plus they sounded way cool, too).

The simplicity really serves the lyrics and I think it was a really good choice to keep the production on the overall song simple, since the vocal was processed and needed a simple backdrop.

In that vein, I think an acoustic guitar might be a good thing to experiment with if you planned to do further tinkering with the song (not that it really needs it). The electric guitar works, but I think it takes the song away from the center of SimplicityLand.

it. Love it. Glad to see its available for ppl to listen to
(though I've got it on my iTunes of course).

Brilliant
I always like it when someone uploads something this
striking.

A creative, different track.

I like the minimalist approach
it's so unlike what I'm doing right now (trying to squeeze
as many tracks into the eMac before the dreaded dialog
box that grinds the music to a halt). Thanks for the
reminder that emotional stuff usually is simple.

moody and lovely
I even love the awful static and the way it cuts off rather
artistically. I wish your vocals had been a little more up
front, though. Moody and lovely and really nice over all.
