Description After so many comments to raise the vocals in the mix I have bitten the bullet - considering I've never really sung I'm fairly happy with the outcome. The vocals are up and the harmonies were fun.

Great lyrics by Ian Robbins - Marastique lives!
Lyrics I have wandered through this world unnoticed
And at the age of 25 I've seen it all
You've just got to have someone to keep you company
Cause there ain’t no point in going on alone

I've seen mountains in the north a distant purple
And I've ridden waves down where they meet the see
My eyes have seen the western plains and rivers
And the snow-capped mountains south have captured me

Don't worry if you're down and feeling desperate
And the road you're on just makes you want to crawl
Cause it's 10:1 she's waiting round the next bend
And before you know it love has conquered all
Love has conquered all

I have wandered through this world unnoticed
and at the age of 25 I've seen it all
You've just got to have someone to keep you company
Cause there ain’t no point in going on alone

I've seen mountains in the north a distant purple
And I've ridden waves down where they meet the see
My eyes have seen the western plains and rivers
And the snow-capped mountains south have captured me

But of all the beauties that this land can show you
There is one place that I know can beat them all
That's the place where your own true love is standing
That's the time when you'll be feeling 10 feet tall
Feeling 10 feet tall

You got it!
Vocals much louder without dominating too much. So for
the third time let me tell you how much I dig this music.
Total throwback early 70's hippie music.... you know-
Music by Hippies, For Hippies.

Very nice folk/ rock feel!

You got it in one ac!
Yup - guilty as charged - 70's hippie music it is.

Thanks for the comments and for following IHW's development. There's a few more where that came from, so it's off to work for me.

Bingo
As someone who's bitten many bullets, I can tell you a
little ketchup is the ticket.

Seriously though, the upped vocals are the ticket on this
one. For me, it's up there with Fox on the Run (Goode
Brothers) and Rocky Top (Dillard & Clarke).

I'd also like to mention how much I like the way it jumps
right in there, grabs hold and doesn't let you go until its
done with you.

You can play in my backyard any time.
cheers

Down-home music
There's something so joyful and feelin'-right-at-home
about this kind of music. Good stuff. Very good stuff!

Thanks Mysti - a bit late I know - just revisiting the song myself.

since you've been remixing already
I would like to hear this without the banjo/mandolin loop(?I think...) that the song starts out with and keeps coming back as a hook. That part sounds a little off for some reason, like it's not really in the groove. Somewhat bogus. I don't think the song needs it.
Everything else about this is really cool. Especially like that bass part! Great lyrics. Good singing

Hi Jim,
I've had a play with the song without the loops, but I'm not sure it has enough
to carry it with just guitar bass and voice. The main reason I had confidence
to upload it in the first place was the banjo and mandolin loops. Maybe I'll try
a few more variations and put it up again. Thanks for your comments.

Much Better This Time
I would still take some of the reverb off the vocals and
give it more of an immediatcy that I think the music
conveys. Otherwise, much better, very nice tune. Enjoyed
it.
