All right, Taylor, you just made my day...

Plainly, I've got to catch up on my Dougie MacLean collection...I love his playing, his singing, and his songwriting...Had some of his tunes playing at my wedding years ago...The CD's I actually own are Craighie Dhu and Singing Land...Got any suggestions for other good ones?

The middle tune with Kathy Mattea makes a great companion to that video of Kathy singing with John Martyn... Plainly this is one country singer with terrific taste in songwriting...I love how she and her band wholeheartedly take on a support role...that's my idea of musicianship, and serving the song...

Good stuff, Taylor. Thanks.

This sounds neat, but what does it involve? I think I missed this... 'Sunday music thing'... Sounds cool, though...

Hi Ed. It is just whoever is awake earliest posts say a youtube link that would be a pleasant way to start the day. Then others add what perhaps they feel would help delight others on a morning such as Sunday. Taylor

Here's one of my favorite Dougie MacLean songs, apparently from that same series with Kathy Mattea:

Link, anyone?

I can't embed this one, unfortunately, but it's worth taking the time to listen to...

Yes Ed it was worth a listen, Kathy M has a real quality in her voice and singing style and with the pair of them it was beautiful. Doesn't it just gladden your heart to hear quality like that? M

All right...I'm hunting down tunes for a Sunday morning thing...

In the meantime, another of MY favorite Dougie MacLean songs, one that we had playing at my wedding:

And while we're mentioning it, check out that band...if I'm not mistaken, that's Danny Thompson on the bass...Jay Ungar on fiddle...maybe Aly Bain on fiddle...these Transatlantic performances are amazing...

It just gets better tonite. I had to track Luka by Suz. Allways gives me bumps. Yeah Danny is all over those sessions as is Jerry D.. Here are a couple going a bit away from that..

ED that is a most beautiful love song. I find this one to be a very commited song about love and commitment also.
