Just downloaded some instruments for live version 6.I only have version 5.
Ihave all these new instruments and can't use them ..
Any Help Please

I'm not familiar with Live 5 or 6 but I'm guessing it is a compatibility issue. Kind of like how your couldn't import GB stuff into Logic until version 7. Hope you find a solution. |

But it depends on the files also.If you have operator or sAmpler patches they won't work unless you purchase those deviices.Also Live5 doesn't have the Racks that you can build in 6 available. Live6 will open and convert Live5 files but 5 has no idea about 6. Were as 6 has every idea about 5.Backward compatability doesn't work in reverse. You can upgrade via the internet as a download so you can go right away and don't have to wait. It is also cheaper that way.What files are you refering to? The 2 free ones that were just made available? There are also some 5 files at Abletons site but that is about it. The folks who are just starting to sell Live Packs are doing so for 6. The sites specify that to safegaurd people from making a useless purchase. Hopefully you are refering to free packs..Taylor |
