Before I buy it I was just hoping someone could check and see if any of the "Pedal Steel" loops are Midi. I think if they are then I could import the loop to create a track...delete the loop and use the track with my keyboard as a midi controller (am I correct in this statement?).

The pedal steel loops in JamPack are not sotware instrument loops, so you can't control them with a midi keyboard.

Hi there!

I got that JamPack and when searching for "steel pead" there seem to be two kinds, Hawaiian Luau Guitar (5 midi loops of those) and 2 Nashville Pedal Steel loops which are audio and can't be altered as Jim said. But at least that Hawaiian guitar, which has the steel pedal logo as icon, is midi.

In any case, here are a few tracks in which I'm using that JamPack, in case you're interested in hearing a few software guitar sounds. It's definitely a good JamPack to have. I could recommend it to you.

Didn't think about the Hawaiian luau guitar, I forgot about it since it really doesn't sound like a pedal steel to me. Not sure what the modulation would do to it. Steel guitar is such a complex instrument with a lot of subtleties.

I just got jam pack rhythm. I can't find the Luau guitar you mentioned in the loop section. What is it called?

There's also a pretty nice Dobro synth (midi) - it's in JamPack3 Rhythm Section

The Luau guitar loops are in Jam Pack World Music - the synth they use show up under a package called "GarageBandApp20" - I'm not exactly sure where that came from.
