I have a song recorded in Reason and I'd like to add vocals. I tried to import it in Garageband but the sampling rate or something would cause for the song to be played too quickly or too slowly. I also have logic express but I have NO knowledge on how to use it, can anyone help a brother out?

Try resampling as AIF using iTunes, then drag the track into GB or LE. Use the Advanced Import options in iTunes preferences to select AIF.

Go back to Reason and make sure you have it set to mixdown your music as aiff at 16 bit 44.1 kHz, then export the music again. If it's set to anything other than 44.1 kHz it will playback in GB at the wrong speed.

Hi. You should be able to use Reason in LE as a rewire item. You need to open LE first. This dictates to Reason the the tempo of LE will be the master tempo. Then open Reason. When you close both app.s you do so in reverse. Reason first then LE. You need to select an Audio Instrument track. Not an audio track. Although you can do that too. It depends on how you wish to work.I won't get into what the differences are. Just try both to see what works best til you get a better understanding. So now on the lefthand side.Under the toolbox (the area with the icons such as scissors etc.) You will see the next area down. This should say either instrument (for audio instrument) or audio (for an audio track). If it is not already expanded click the rite facing arrow to the left. Now you will see the options available.Moving down the list. Icon then device and next channel. When you click channel you will see the options. Select Rewire. This will open a list of rewire outputs. Select mix L (Left output of reason. Then pan that track in LE hard left. Now select the track below in LE and do the same for Mix R and again pan this time hard rite. Now when you start LE you should hear Reason locked to the tempo of Logic. One thing of note. If you have Reason set to loop it will be reflected in LE. When you turn the loop off in reason the song will play til the end of the area you have recorded in Reason. But will stop sounding. As you will see Reason is still running but with nothing past the point you stopped recording in Reason available to play. The easiest way to do this for you now. Copy and paste in Reason so the track will play linearly and not need to loop. I know this sounds complex but once you do it you will see just how simple it is. You may wish to eather copy this response although no need to if you just open this then LE then reason and move them around on your desktop so you can follow along while doing. Hope this helps. Taylor
