hey all,
i've recently acquired the above mentioned keyboard and have tried to use it within Logic and Reason as a midi controller on my macbook pro. however, the computer does not recognize the Casio. i've contacted casio but have yet to receive a reply. i've also searched the website and found another person with the same problem but no solution was posted. just seeing if anyone could help me. i think the theory "Casios don't with Macs" is kind of ridiculous, but then again it could be true. please help! thanks

Hope this helps, Shaky I don't know about that. I do think it is incompatible with mac but not because midi data is not part of the USB protocol. I used my privia PX-400R as a controller with Fruity Loops on my windows machine and now I'm regretting making the switch. I miss fruity loops and I'm using a PPC so I can't dual boot and I can't afford some other device in between... ugh. The best solution is to sell it and get a new one. The Privia is bulky and heavy and what's with the SmartMedia? I'm probably just in the dark but do they even make that anymore? Good luck to you. |

If so, load a midi monitor and see if midi signals come in. If no, and you have both USB and Midi outs, get a cheap midi interface and use the midi port. Victor. |
