I never was able to get it to work either in GB, but the fact that you are seeing the eq is a good sign. Make sure you go into your preferences and make sure your interface is checked.
December 31, 2006 3:07:16 PM Hi. I don't know what you are doing. You didn't supply all that.No problem how would you know how to ask. This is the same thing I do also. Hey what can you do. OK. So you firstly need to open things in the correct order. GB first. Anytime you use a rewire instance the first item is the "Master" ..Reason can not be the master ever. It only slaves. So the way you open is the opposite to how you close the app.s.. Savvy?GB first...Reason second..Now Reason should slave to the tempo of GB. Also you should be able to toggle from one app. to the other via clicking their GUIs. OK. Simple open of GB with the Grand as the only instrumennt. Then open Reason..OK Now you need to load a Mixer into reason and then a Rex player. Now select a rex file from the factroy selections. Then click the "to Track" button in reason. If you now click the loop button in Reason you will also see in GB a yellow area at the top bracketed. Eventhough Reason can not be the master. It can dictate the loop zone in both programs. This is important to know. That way you won't be wondering why GB is only able to loop and not go past that point. Reason is dictating this. So better to disarm the loop function in Reason and copy and paste the rex file in reasons track. OK so now you should hear the rex file when you are AT THE first bar. You won't hear reason in this instance if you either have not copied the rex file or looped it if you are not at the beginning,, Now the fun begins... Delete the rex player. Now create a subtractor. Now when you play the "Grand you will also be triggering the "basic" program that comes up when you create a subtractor in reason. So now when you play your keyboard you get the magical sound of a grand piano layered with the most god awful saw drone. How quaint. No Need to worry.. Click the + sign in GB and create a new software instrument. Here is were it gets a bit tricky. Now you need to double click the new intsrument the go to the ganerator and select "NONE".. Now you will hear the subtractor..Click the reason GUI and then select a patch for subtractor. Now here again it gets a bit sticky So now you hear the sound if you select GB. BUT BIG BUTT here. If you click record in GB and think you will then be recording the sound you are triggering in Reason.........You won't be. Better to click the reason GUI and click record in Reason. Then when you play back in GB it will sound as recorded. This has been way too long for me. I'm not exactly the sweetest of things so from here on out you're on your owm...I'm in no way an aficiando in regards to GB. I think the folks here who actually have the audacity to make remarks like Logic could learn from GB to be total morons...They don't have a clue. Nor do they understand that GB would not exist without the many, many years of hard work and toil the folks at emagic did before Apple bought them out. This bit is a rant. It was a sad day for me. All the PC brothers were just shot up the A-- hole- You know what I mean.??? I'm still not happy with what the "JOBS" did. Oh well. Hope this helped. If not.....Happy new years anyway...LOL...Taylor
