ARGHH Hi I hope someone can help me, I've never been on a forum before but I figured this would be the place to get if I need it.
Basically I spent two hours plugging the mic and getting it to work in pro tools...
The thing is the output as well as the waveform is very low. The volume looks very small...is there a way to bring up the volume? I've tried going into the system preferences. Does pro tools have a output option? Sorry I know absolutely nothinggg
PLEASE HELP!!!
If you can email me at kochris@nycmail.com
THANKS!! :)

![]() Peter Greenstone | August 19, 2006 12:15:21 AM Your mic needs to be run through a preamp before going into the computer. That is the most likely answer if I had to guess. Telling us what kind of mic you have and how you are connecting it to your computer would go a long way to help us know what the problem is. You could also try plugging the mic in faster...... I kid. |

![]() Myshkin | August 19, 2006 11:07:58 AM Try smashing the microphone on the desk over and over and then kicking the computer around the room. It won't help, but you'll feel better. |

![]() Willywagga | August 19, 2006 6:37:05 PM I have the Behringer UB1002 which suits me just fine, very reasonable to buy, and has 2 phanthom mic/condenser inputs and 8 mono/jack inputs for the price it can do alot. I think it cost abouy €60 from Thomann in Germany. |
