I'm new to MacJams and am obviously doing something wrong. At the Quik Post window I type in my title and comments but when I hit post comment, nothing seems to happen. When I refresh the page or come back to that particular song later, my comments are nowhere to be seen.
Maybe you guys just don't want my comments. lol. Seriously, I'm anxious to get started but am spinning my wheels. Is there a primer posted somewhere?
Thanks.

Hmm... that's not good! Welcome to MacJams, by the way!

Okay, none of this is likely going to help, but just in case, (a) make sure you're logged in (yeah, I know you know, but just in case I thought I'd mention it), (b) make sure you use a title in your quick post, (c) when you hit the "Submit Comment" button, wait a few seconds (sometimes it takes 10 seconds or more, so just be patient), and do nothing. Don't click the "Submit Comment" button over and over as you wait; you'll just get repeated comments posted that way. (d) you should then see a small window open up asking you something like 'are you sure you want to submit this comment?' to which you reply 'yes' or 'submit' or whatever the option is. Finally, you should see another little window saying the comment has been submitted, and asking if you want to refresh the page or not. Click "yes" (or whatever it says; it may be "refresh"), so that you can verify that your comment has shown up.

Forgive me for the pedantic approach, but I just wanted to make sure you're not missing one of these steps for whatever reason.

If you are sure that you're doing all of this, and it's still not working, contact the admins through the "Feedback" button at the top of this page, and let 'em know you're having a problem.

Let us know if you resolve the problem, and good luck!

Hmm... it *SHOULD* work! First off, welcome to Macjams, once the kinks are worked out... you should be able to type in a TITLE, then the COMMENT, then click the "POST COMMENT" button, and it should, within a few seconds, refresh the page and have your comment added to the song. If that is NOT happening, you may need to click on the FEEDBACK link (white text on black) near the top of the MJ page, and send an e-mail to the admins asking for quick technical help. You may want to try a different browser (Safari, Firefox?) or different computer? Can you mention what version of MacOSX you are using? Do you have trouble posting to other web sites? Do you like chocolate or vanilla ice crea... wait, that's a different forum. Anyway, this does sound unusual, it should just work. And I for one look forward to your comments, and will reply in kind :-) Anyway, please keep trying things, once you get it figured out, I think you'll find the talented people (and not-so-talented dragons) here amazing!

Hey, it's deja vu all over again! I think drakonis explained it better. :D

Thanks ComposerClark and Drakonis,
Yes, I'm doing all the right steps and even switched from Safari to Firefox and it made no difference. I'm about to try another computer. If I still have problems, I'll use Feedback. Maybe—as they say down in the southern part of the country—I'm just not holding my mouth right.
Anyway, thanks for your imput.

"Curiouser and Curiouser", said Alice! On your profile page, it says that you have indeed posted 7 (seven, that is more than ZERO!) Jam comments, so the Macjams database saw you enter them, but they didn't stick. I did a SEARCH for your artist name on Macjams, and it did not show up, so those 7 comments are indeed "lost". So, you will need to ask the Admins what is going on, let them know that you posted comments, they registered on your profile page as having been added, but they didn't get added to the song comment pages. And tell them you tried different browsers, and that other members seem to be able to add comments fine... this sounds like a horrible glitch just connected to your user account. Hopefully they can find and fix the problem right away!

Welcome to MJ. I dig your self-portrait:

Did you do that yourself? Looking forward to your shared music.
