Here is a new artist... Rynodot, I really found his post worth a listen, and the song hasn't got any attention at all yet... I think this guy is worth some MJ hospitality...here... never mind he pulled the song 10 minutes after I posted this...huh.. Oh well

![]() composerclark | July 15, 2006 6:14:43 AM A very generous act on your part, Scott! Too bad he pulled the song... hopefully this won't dissuade you from similar acts of generosity in the future! This business of pulling songs can be a bit of a pain. I was reading another forum thread yesterday in which someone posted a hotlink to their song in the context of the discussion, so I though, okay, I'll check it out, which I did, and I listened several times, and left a fairly lengthy comment that invovled me doing some Internet research relevant to the song. Then the song was pulled a little while later. I don't know if my comment was even read  I guess everyone who pulls a song has some reason for doing so, but still... (grumble grumble!) :? |
![]() SmokeyVW | July 15, 2006 8:53:54 AM I just pulled a song yesterday. It was because I came to understand that I shouldn't have posted it in the first place. The problem was I used unauthorized short samples of some music. Tobin Mueller had suggested (interestingly, as a minor aside in a comment) I consider pulling it. After I looked up his bio, I knew he would certainly be someone to know about these things. Since email is not working, I couldn't contact him for more detail. (I tried an alternate approach to emailing him, but that didn't work out.) I figured I better poke around MacJams a bit more. Even though the admins say NO COVERS in several places, I needed to read more closely to see that no samples are allowed either. That led to my decision to pull it. There was no place to post that explanation on the song itself though, once I deleted it. Maybe the admins might consider changing the Delete function. It would be nice for several reasons to delete the MP3 file, but leave the comments as is. It should also be an option to fully delete it if desired of course. |

I don't think he would have navigated all that... but I hope he pulled it for reasons other than frustration with MJ |
![]() SmokeyVW | July 15, 2006 10:21:57 AM Me too. I'm very glad to have discovered this place. I'm also still learning a lot about how this works... I guess we'll never know why he pulled it unless he comes back. |
